Yesterday we took Shay on our Adventure Walk to Formby beach yesterday

Adventure walks are available to previous and current clients who’s dogs can socialise with other dogs

Dates are either advertised or you can message me if you’re struggling for dog care for a specific weekend or half term/summer holidays days. 🌞

Now life is getting back to normal, your dog training journey is ready to begin (or continue!)

Did the holidays highlight any training needs you’d like to address?
We have a class aimed at dogs 6months + to acknowledge common problems like lead work, being too distracted out of the house, recall, impulse control etc
This is a 6 week course, with rosettes and certificates on completion for only £95 beginning on the 28th Jan at 18:45pm

Or maybe you’d like to look into the world of scent with our Introduction to scent classes ready to progress through Bronze, Silver and Gold classes, trials and workshops.
This is a 4 week course with a certain on completion and only £70 beginning on the 28th Jan 19:45pm

All classes are kept to a small number so you can ensure you will have enough 1-1 time with the trainer personally. You also have the option to join the private facebook group to continue to seek support, recommendations and stay part of the community

The Premack Principle!

Since Clover’s arrival, I’ve had to think of what training methods work for her because she has a different training style to Tilly. Tilly quite frankly, does not give a s**t, whereas Clover has SO much she wants to do and will work for it!

I always ask Clover for a sit stay (will soon be an expected settle but baby steps!) whilst I sort the rabbit shed due to the fact I need to have their door open so I clean and feed them but I cant keep my eye on Clover at all times. So she stays out of my eye sight behind me, but is waiting patiently. She won’t hurt or startle them as they’ve been socialised together since she was 10weeks old, she just wants to eat their poo so she’s get’s in the way and makes my job harder 🤦‍♀️

The highest reward for Clover in that moment in time is for her to be released so she can erm help me clean up shall we say. So once the rabbits are secure out of the way, I will release Clover as her reward for sitting patiently.

Rewards dont always have to be food and praise. A reward is anything the dog enjoys, especially something they want to do in that exact moment.

This month we have;

Improvers - a course specifically designed for dogs 6months + who may need an extra helping hand in their training journey. We look at engagement outside, recall, impulse control, breed specific games/exercises and so much more!
Beginning on the 28th Jan at 18:45pm in Carrington for 6 weeks. £95

Introduction to Scent Detection - a 4 week course to introduce you and your dog to the world of scent! Once your dog understands, the fun continues into Bronze, Silver and Gold, as well as trials, trails and workshops!
Beginning on the 28th Jan at 19:45pm in Carrington for 4 weeks. £70

Bronze Grade 1 - Another 6 weeker but to continue your progress with scent! Specifically for those who have completed their introduction course and want to delve deeper into indication and trailing!
Beginning on the 29th Jan at 18:45pm in Carrington for 6 weeks. £99
