A day to celebrate this spirited breed. I have a miniature Schnauzer and she brings so much joy to our family every day. She has her quirky ways and has us well and truly trained to all her needs. Highly spirited, affectionate, obedient and loyal they are fantastic little dogs. Rosie is my inspiration for drawing and where I started on pet portrait journey. Give a little wave to any Schnauzers today. 💕🐾🐶

Branching off in a slightly different direction, but still animals. I absolutely loved painting these, it gave me the chance to get back to watercolour for a while.
I have had some interest and price enquiries so thought perhaps I should put some more thought into it.
I paint these as individual unique pieces, working with you to decide on which animals your child might like - they may love chameleons but not cats! The colour of their name can be to match their bedroom or just their favourite colour. Because they are bespoke I can choose the right animal pose to work with the name, so overall the composition looks right.

The starting price is £40 for a 2,3 & 4 letter name which comes with a double mount.
Framing is optional and is something I can arrange.

The Handsome Kenzo, unfortunately Kenzo passed over the rainbow bridge a few years ago. This portrait is a memorial for his family so he can always be with them. 🌈💕
Cats really do have beautiful eyes.

I’ve been busy working on a different size option, it’s smaller than what I currently offer. The drawing is A5 (15cm x 21cm) combined with a mount to fit an A4 frame.
It’s also a great price at £90 including the mount, for a little extra I can frame it.

I’ve also been trying coloured Pastelmat paper which is fabulous for colour intensity.
Here’s Rosie my faithful model. 🥰😍

These two are just so adorable. They are my good friend’s dogs and I set myself the challenge of drawing them on coloured paper instead of white. What I didn’t realise was how multi coloured white dogs actually are - I used over 11 colours in this drawing. 🥰

There are many layers to a pastel portrait, here’s Maples progress from beginning to end.
Maple took 2 weeks to draw spending at least 4 hours a day drawing. I had a good quality photo to work from which enabled me to get so much more detail into the portrait.
Can you guess how many colours I used?

The beautiful Maple with her long golden ears and gorgeous loving eyes was an absolute pleasure to draw. Maple was commissioned as a Christmas present from a wife to her husband - a gift to be treasured for many years.
