This morning I thought it would be a good time to have a little catch up with our followers!

We’ve been a little quiet the last week because Bracken & I went to a flyball competition with Rapid Rascals Flyball Team!

We had a wonderful weekend in the sunshine playing flyball!

I have also been working on a new product which will be coming into the stall this summer - a fully lined tote bag! I love a good tote bag and have been testing their strength for a couple of weeks!

Our next outing will be at the end of August at Clymping Dog Sanctuary’s annual show!

So it’s been a bit quiet on the post front at HMBHB HQ!

Here’s a catch up of what we’ve been up to!

This past weekend saw Bracken & I pop to our first outdoor flyball competition of the year with our team Rapid Rascals Flyball Team!

We had a fun weekend even with questionable weather! Saturday saw Bracken running in the league team Lucky Rascals, who won their division! Sunday Bracken raced with Ralphie in a pair - they placed 2nd and set a new pairs time! I myself stepped back into the lanes to continue my judging journey!

It was a wonderful weekend 😍

In the background I’m busy prepping stock for our first event of the year Barnham Barkfest in May!

So this past weekend was Crufts! I was lucky enough to attend in person on Thursday and it was amazing!

Not only that; but whilst watching the flyball from the comfort of my sofa I spotted Jodi from Elements Flyball Team wearing her team scrunchie! It was amazing to see something that I had made on the famous Crufts green carpet! (thanks for the photo Jodi!)

Did you know that I can make team themed scrunchies? This one features the Elements Flyball Team logo repeated throughout the fabric.

So I am out the office tomorrow as a very last minute change of plans means I can go to Crufts with a couple of friends!

I’ve never been to Crufts and I’m very excited to see as much as I can; but of course I will be in the arena watching the flyball and cheering on some of my wonderful flyball friends who are taking part!

This morning it looks like spring has sprung! Lots of daffodils spotted on the drive to my day job, the sun peeking out in the sky and not driving in the dark was a wonderful way to start the week!

This weekend was the annual conference for UKFL and I was nominated amongst some other fantastic judges for the annual judge of the year award!

I have only been judging in flyball for a short period of time so to have been nominated is something I wasn’t expecting!

So it’s been quite the busy week here at HMBHB HQ so I thought I’d share with you all some of the bits we’ve been up to!

First up is the bandanas we made for the Stop Hunting with Dogs in Spain March which took place on Sunday 3rd February in London. Kerri the HooMum to a rescued ex hunting podenco was after some bespoke bandanas for her pack to wear on the march, I was very honoured to have been asked to create these .Maz is from

Next up is our new fundraising bandana for . Initially a bespoke bandana for a special rescue Barley; creating the design featuring the charities logo, the bandana is now available to purchase with £2 from each bandana being donated to Balkan Underdogs!

Then this weekend I’ve been beavering away at creating some more premade snoods in a variety of sizes! Our Dog Snoods are our product of the month, they are great for the changing seasons and also helpful for fireworks!

Not only that but I restocked my care tag drawer today! Did you know that I make my own care tags? Our tags feature a perforated edge so the price can be easily removed when gifting our products!

Lastly, Bracken & I had some quality time this weekend, including some conditioning work on her new platform, a trip to Todd's Trims and a wander on the downs with LoKo Doggy Delights Sammi & Loki!

Bracken is a very snuggly dog, when they say dogs don't like hugs, Bracken didn't get that memo!

So this evenings plans will be a yummy steak dinner (she always gets a bit of mine!) a snuggle on the sofa watching the Brawn GP movie (did you know I LOVE Formula 1?!)

This month our key product is our Dog Snood!

Key Features of our snoods:
• Made from 2 layers of anti pill polar fleece for that snuggly feeling! Polar fleece is also water repellent, which is great for spring in the UK!
• Add some warmth as the seasons change! These snoods are a great addition when you don’t necessarily need a coat on your dog but would like to give them a little bit of help staying toastie!
• Great for popping ears inside – either to stop them getting wet or to dry them off!
• Helps block out firework noise; or any other noise that might be troublesome for your dog!
• Machine Washable; because dogs will be dogs after all!

Our Dog Snoods can be purchased in either our Pre-Made collection, where we have made up some of the most popular sizes. Alternatively we offer both a plain colour and patterned fleece made to measure options, so if you have a combination of fabrics you would love to be a snood, or we’ve not got a premade option the made to measure option is perfect for you!

Bracken loves snuggling in her snood, which is used when her ears are wet, when the fireworks are going off and just when she needs a little bit of warmth!

Let’s talk about bespoke!

Did you know that I offer a range of bespoke services?

This weekend I finished a project I’d been working on for Rapid Rascals Flyball Team - a couple of waterproof box covers!

From L to R we have

The lid covers sublimated with the design that is engraved on our box lids, for our 2 rainbow girls.

Underneath is the pinned cover being tested on the box

The middle 2 images show the finished covers, these are contrast like our boxes are. I’ve even covered the carry holes with some flaps to prevent the water coming in the sides because when it rains it rains!

The last 2 images are a bottle holder that I’ve made for myself! Often Bracken & I require water in the lane and I sometimes forget at least one of our drinks; so I’ve made this bag to chuck over my shoulder with our drinks in!
