Tricia Thorne Dog Walking and Pet Care Services Dog Walking and Pet Care Service in and around the Ammanford area. I have been providing Dog Walking and Pet Care Services in the Ammanford area since 2012.
(8)

I have a variety of clients - some call on me on an ad-hoc basis when they need to go out for the day or are working late and need me to pop in and feed their pet or walk their dog. Other clients use my services on a regular basis - walking their dog daily or on set days each week. I can tailor walks and care based on you and your pet's individual needs. I do not walk dogs in large groups - I will

only walk your dog/s giving them personal attention and ensuring their normal routine is maintained. I have been around animals, particularly dogs, all my life. When I was a child my parents used to Puppy Walk for Guide Dogs and we always had dogs as family pets. I moved with my family to South Wales in 2007 to live on a smallholding. I used to breed Oxford Sandy & Black rare breed pigs but now concentrate on my dog walking as this takes up most of my time. We used to have five beautiful dogs but sadly lost 2 of our old boys in the last couple of years so now now have three dogs who a very much part of the family. I also have four Balwen sheep and 11 ex-battery hens who continue to provide the most delicious eggs. I pride myself on offering a personal service to each client so as to fit in with your pet's own needs and routine. I am very flexible and am happy to come and meet you and your pets to discuss your requirements. References are available on request.

Goodness! Where has this year gone? I've just realised it has been a while since I posted on here. The last few months have been very busy with a few new clients coming on board.

With the run up to the big day in 5 weeks make sure you book me in quickly should you need any pet care while you are out and about over the festive season. I can do comfort visits for your furry friends if you are going to be out all day or evening.

Drop me a message and I will be happy to help.

With the current hot weather it is timely to remind dog owners about the risk of heatstroke. On hot days I will spend quality time with my canine clients in a shady spot in the garden rather than going for a walk.

With all the current worrying reports about dog theft/dog snatching I thought it timely to reiterate my policy on what I share on my page. In the 10 years since I started dog walking I have always adhered to the policy that I do not share clients' names/ their pets' names/where they live or where I walk except in exceptional circumstances and always with the client's permission.

Obviously it is difficult when you want to promote your business but I think client confidentiality is a priority. I am always happy for you to message me/phone me privately and will provide references on request.

In these worrying times I am taking every precaution with regard to safety and am very much open for business whilst operating within Covid safety guidelines.

Well what a year it's been! I have missed so many of my canine (and human!) clients this year while some of you have been working from home etc. Sadly 4 of my clients - three canine and one human have passed away this year so a special thought goes out to them.

I hope that I will get to work with you all again sometime in 2021. I am continuing to work where possible during this awful pandemic so please do contact me.

Wishing all my clients past, present and future a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

My own animal family have been relaxing during Lockdown but it's time to slowly start moving. I am now gradually starting back with some of my clients and taking bookings for pet care. Are you going to be out for the day? Or overnight? I can call in for comfort visits/walks etc. All necessary precautions will be taken regarding Covid. Message or call for more information.

Well 8 weeks have passed since my last post and how life has changed for us all in that time! I hope you are all keeping well and staying safe. I am missing all my lovely clients and can't wait until I can get back to walking and caring for them again.

Please note: I am able to walk your dog within strict guidelines - for those that are self isolating or fall into the shielded category or key workers. Should you need this service then please message me. For everyone else please continue to stay safe and hopefully 'We'll Meet Again' very soon.

Just to let all my clients know I am still very much "Open for Business". I do however, understand that some of you will not require my services during these uncertain times. Please let me know as soon as you can if this is the case.
For those of you who still need my services - thank you! - and I will discuss with you any extra precautions we can take to ensure that we are all safe. I follow all the NHS guidelines on hand-washing and hygiene. Where necessary I can collect your dog from you at your door rather than enter your house.
Thank you for your support at this very difficult time and I look forward to seeing all my clients once "normal service resumes. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

I am taking all the necessary steps to keep myself & my clients safe. Extra hygiene is top priority including social spacing & using only my own leads for your dogs. Please keep me informed to your situations. If you are self isolating let me know so we can work around pick ups so your dog still gets walked. Don’t hesitate to contact me 😊

Its national walk your dog day! A daily walk comes with a number of benefits. It is a great excuse to go outside and get some extra exercise. Need another reason? Here's a few:

1. A daily walking routine keeps both you and your pet healthy.
2.Walks are a great way to bond with your pet and get them the exercise they need.
3.A daily walk lets you and your pet get the social interaction you both need.
4.Walking reduces stress and relieves anxiety in both people and pets.
