🐶🐾 AUGUST UPDATE 🐾🐶
Hi everyone 👋 as most of you are aware, I'm now coming to the last few weeks of my pregnancy 🤰 just wanted to say a quick thank you to all of you for your patience, understanding and genuine care for mine and baby's health throughout sessions and classes, it's so greatly appreciated!!
I have now stopped taking on new clients, and this will remain until October 2024 when my books will begin to reopen for classes in Rotherham & Halifax and for training and behaviour rehab 1-2-1's.
Thankfully, we have our lovely friend Joe who is continuing to run Beginner Pathway to Success classes at Pen*stone and he is also introducing a ✨NEW✨ and very exciting Fun Scentwork course, which I will be sharing information about over the next couple of days (pic of Joe and baby Tucker 😍)

🌟 DOG OF THE MONTH 🌟
ROLO 🐶 has been crowned our Dog of the Month for June 👑
Rolo is 2 months into his Behaviour Rehab Pro Package 🐾 he’s a very sweet boy who has had lots of change in his early life, resulting in some insecurities and under confidence. We’ve been working to give Rolo a stable routine, enrichment, and lots of love and support to help his anxiety levels reduce. Rolo has made huge progress over the last few months which has now enabled us to prioritise other areas of his training 🐶

🌟 DOG OF THE MONTH 🌟
ZORRO 🐶 has been crowned our Dog of the Month for May 👑 (sorry it’s so delayed!!)
We met Zorro, Evie and their pawrents in January, after they enrolled onto our Behaviour Rehab Elite Package. Zorro was a lockdown pup and had always struggled in social situations, particularly when with Evie or his human mum. We’ve been working to build Zorro’s confidence in a range of environments both on his own and on family walks all together. Zorro has recently enjoyed some lovely holidays and even had a run on the beach and settled in a cafe - which were all huge goals for his pawrents to achieve 🤩

Isla and Cormac loved their Advanced Pathway session! We worked on off-lead interactions, appropriate play styles as well as recalling away from play with another dog! Thank you to Isla’s dad and brother for the gorgeous pics 🥰
Another new pup has joined the team too!! This is Shelby 🥰 he’s a 10 month old Border Collie x Siberian Husky - he’s absolutely gorgeous 😍
Shelby has joined us on a Behaviour Rehab package as he gets very excited and frustrated by the big wide world. We’ve put some small bits of training in place before expanding further as Shelby learns to cope in busier and more distracting environments 🦮
We’ve also had Kovu join the team 😍 he’s a beautiful 3 year old American Rottweiler 🥰 Kovu has had a lot of health issues in his life, thankfully he’s all better now but it’s had a negative impact on his confidence at the vets. I’m looking forward to seeing Kovu over the next couple of months 🐾
Say hello to new pup Lance 👋
Lance is a 5 month old Fox Red Labrador who gets sooo excited in the presence of other dogs 🐶 he has enrolled on our Beginner Pathway at Hellaby and is learning lots! He’s already ticked off 3 of the exercises in this class - well on his way to Intermediates! 🥰
The pups on our Advanced Pathway enjoyed a lovely walk around Worsbrough Reservoir, we worked around distractions - fishermen 🎣, ducks 🦆 and other dogs 🐕 . We also gave each pup time off-lead [or on long-line] ahead of the others to practice their recall in more distracting areas.
We had a brilliant time, I love these classes 🥰
Alfie has completed his Ruff & Ready package!! Alfie struggles to settle in the presence of guests and extended family members, we have been working on a ‘place’ marker, as well as rewarding calmness at other periods. Alfie still has a way to go, but he’s made great progress so far!

Rolo has joined us on a Behaviour Rehab package as he can be a sensitive pup in situations he feels he can’t escape. After 1 month, Rolo is making lots of progress and we’ve already formed a great bond 😁 looking forward to seeing how he progresses over the coming months 🥰

🌟 DOG OF THE MONTH 🌟
FINN 🐶 has been crowned our Dog of the Month for April 👑
We first met Finn and his pawrents in December 2022, he was an adolescent pup that was struggling to navigate the world around him. He was SO STRONG on lead and had snapped multiple collars, harnesses and leads! We have worked with Finn consistently since then, starting with 121 sessions with the goal of progressing to group classes. Now, Finn is enrolled onto our Advanced Pathway and is one of the star pupils every single session ⭐️ Finn recently went on holiday and enjoyed off-lead time on the beach! Something we’d all dreamed he’d be able to achieve 🥰

It’s Tucker’s 2nd birthday today 🥳 the last 2 years have absolutely flown! I’d spoken to Tucker’s breeder months before he was actually born so feel like I’ve known him from day 1! We met Tucky at 5 weeks old and decided he was the perfect dog for us, visited again at 8 weeks old and then took him home at 11 weeks 🥰 he’s been the best boy I could’ve wished for! Yes we have some niggling issues - but who doesn’t? 🙈
Tucks will be having a well deserved day off work today 😅 we’ll go on a nice walk and he can have lots of tasty treatos 💙

It’s Cormac’s 1st birthday today 🥳 we first met Cormac last August as a gangly pup with huge ears 🥺🙈 Cormac is finally growing into his ears and looking more handsome every week! He’s currently enrolled in our Advanced Pathway and is doing brilliantly! You deserve to be spoiled today Cormac 💙

We’ve recently had some great sessions with this lovely boy Alfie 💙
Alfie’s mum used a voucher that she was bought for our services 🥰 so he was booked onto a Ruff & Ready package!
We’ve been working on keeping Alfie calm around other family members and when guests come to the house, as he’s an excitable boy who struggles to keep his paws on the floor 🙈 with some tactics and guidance, Alfie’s behaviour is going in the right direction as we see an increase in calm 🧘🏼!
Our Advanced Pathway to Success classes started in March too!!
We kicked it off by having a lovely group walk along the Trans Pennine Trail 🦮
Finn, Isla and Cormac were all brilliant!
🐾 They took it in turns to lead the group walk - practicing impulse control when they weren’t the front dog (as they all wanted to get to the front 🙈)
🐾 They passed people, dogs and cyclists along the route, all focusing well on their pawrents throughout
🐾 They also practiced some side by side walking
We’ve had lots of new pups joining us on Beginner Pathway throughout March and April! We’ve had some spaces available due to lots of other pups graduating to Intermediate and Advanced 🥰

DOUG 🐶 has been crowned our Dog of the Month for March 👑
We met Doug in January when he started on our Pathway to Success group classes as a 12 week old pup 🐾 Doug has always struggled with his excitement levels around the dogs in class, although he is making huge, huge progress with this and is now having some really great periods of calm walking in close proximity of other dogs - as well as doing brilliantly in the other areas of the class of course!!

To celebrate National Puppy Day (for yesterday), I've tried to put a video together of all the puppies we've met since March 2023! It turned out to be quite a big job, I really didn't think we'd met so many of you and helped you all on your journeys 🐾 (sorry if your pup hasn't been included, I forget to take pictures all the time!)

We've been working on our impulse control on our Pen*stone Intermediate Pathway 🐕 Some absolutely brilliant wait recalls around distractions from last week's class 😍 especially the last clip where Cormac had to really use his brain 😁
✨ Our boy Fudge ✨ Fudge had a home 121 session recently to iron out some overexcitability that his pawrents just hadn’t made progress with. One of the first exercises we looked at was Fudge’s ‘bed’ cue - as a solid foundation from which other behaviours can follow. I received this video from Fudge’s mum just 1 hour after our training session 😁 such a clever boy 🥰
One from our Intermediate Pathway 🤩 A ‘wait’ is great for impulse control, to enable your dog to think about their surroundings before acting on the behavioural impulse! Well done Murphy & Tucker 💙

We’re celebrating today! 🎉🥳 it’s our 1 year anniversary 🍾🎁🎂 Thank you soooo much to my lovely clients and supporters! I really wouldn’t be here today without you all 🥰 here’s a slideshow of many of the amazing dogs I’ve worked with over the last 12 months They say the first year self-employed is the hardest - I’ve loved absolutely every minute so I can’t wait for the next year! 🥂
We had a lovely update from Jasper & Nyla’s pawrents recently to let us know just how well they’re doing with their training! As you might remember, we did a 1-2-1 session with Jasper a few weeks ago to work on his recall and look how well he’s doing!! He usually follows on behind Nyla, it’s great to see him running ahead of her for his reward 🐾😁
Lunar has been doing some extra-curricular activities 🤩 Lunar is booked onto our 6 month Behaviour Modification Package - although this trick training has nothing to do with that! We think it’s really important to have fun with your dog and teach them new skills!! Here’s why: 🐾 It develops patience 🐾 It’s fun for you and your dog 🐾 It increases your dog’s confidence 🐾 Can help with distractions 🐾 Lets out your dog’s excess energy and uses their brain 🧠 🐾 It strengthens your bond 🥰🐶 Does anyone have any cool/unusual tricks they’ve taught their dog? Our Hoyland pups absolutely loved class this week 🤩 Teaching a reliable ‘drop’ is so beneficial for all dogs (not just puppies)! We started by engaging the puppies with their toys and then offered an alternate high value reward to encourage them to swap 🦴🧸
