YOU DON’T JUST LOSE SOMEONE ONCE
You lose them over and over,
sometimes in the same day.
When the loss, momentarily forgotten,
creeps up,
and attacks you from behind.
Fresh waves of grief as the realisation hits home,
they are gone.
Again.
You don’t just lose someone once,
you lose them every time you open your eyes to a new dawn,
and as you awaken,
so does your memory,
so does the jolting bolt of lightning that rips into your heart,
they are gone.
Again.
Losing someone is a journey,
not a one-off.
There is no end to the loss,
there is only a learned skill on how to stay afloat,
when it washes over.
Be kind to those who are sailing this stormy sea,
they have a journey ahead of them,
and a daily shock to the system each time they realise,
they are gone,
Again.
You don’t just lose someone once,
you lose them every day,
for a lifetime.

We offer an alternative to leaving your beloved pet at your vet’s practice for a mass weekly collection by their contracted crematorium.
Here at Beloved Pet Funeral Care, we believe in caring for your pet after they have passed with the same dignity and respect as you gave them during their life.

WE ARE PROUD TO BE DIFFERENT - this means we;
~ We do not put your beloved in a plastic bag (if they have been placed in a bag by your vet we will take them out so they can rest respectfully in a bed)
~ We do not offer weekly uplifts or van runs
~ We do not collect more than one pet at a time (every small/med pet will be collected in a bed, large dogs will be collected on a stretcher to assist lifting then placed in a bed once in our care)
~ We do not collect or incinerate clinical waste
~ We do not carry out communal cremations

By arrangement, we can either privately collect your beloved pet from a local vet’s practice/hospital or your home, depending on where they are or arrange for you to bring your pet into our care, subject to our availability.

We give every pet in our care the respect and dignity they deserve as a much loved family member,. We aim to have their ashes (and only their ashes!) returned to you as soon as possible.

🐾 Low-cost neutering scheme 🐾

We’ve teamed up with University of Glasgow The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies and Inglis Vets to offer a low-cost neutering programme for eligible cat and dog owners. The procedure will be carried out by final-year veterinary medicine students with supervision from a fully qualified vet.

We offer a limited number of neutering appointments for cats and dogs each week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at our veterinary clinics:

💭 Who is eligible?

For those in Glasgow, the scheme is open to those living in the G1-G82 postcodes of Glasgow and for those in Paisley in the PA1-PA8 postcode area.

For those in Fife, the scheme is open to those living in KY1-5 and KY11-12 postcodes.

Dogs who have originated from or spent time in countries outside of the UK are not currently eligible due to the risk of brucellosis.

For Glasgow:

If you are eligible for our low-cost neutering scheme, you can apply by calling 0141 530 3741 and selecting option 3 between 10am and 3pm from Monday to Friday.

For Fife:

If you are eligible for our low-cost neutering scheme in Fife, you can apply by calling 01383 510999 between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

We often go to family homes to individually collect beloved pets after your vet has been to your home for your precious pet's goodbye time.
If you would like a home euthanasia service for your beloved pet but your own vet doesn't have available appointments for your precious companion's farewell at home, we would highly recommend Rainbow Paws Pet Euthanasia who offer a home service to say goodbye to your cherished pet with dignity.
Lindsay has been a qualified Veterinary Surgeon for over 20 years, working mainly in local Renfrewshire vets and after she bravely put her own beloved dog Gus to sleep at home surrounded by love, she wanted to offer this peaceful service to other local families when their own vet isn't available.

Thank you very much to Eilidh's family for writing these kind words of recommendation for our dignified service. Eilidh was a huge part of her family and loved by all. Eilidh's family wanted her to receive the dignity, compassion and respect she deserved as their special family member, which was an honour to giver her.
