Sheep are cooling off in the woods today

How are you staying cool today? 🌞

So peaceful on the sheep fields in Otford ☀️🐑❤️

This hive moved into our apiary 🎉 Due to the weather I haven't been able to inspect them. In this time they have built two frames of honeycomb all on their own. Plenty of pollen coming in too 🐝

Particularly noisy today as it's teachers Vs students in sports week! Doesn't bother them at all 🐖🧡

Nothing like seeing our now rather large flock (for us,) of sheep on fresh green grass! Lambs and mums and newbies Kerry hills are loving it!

Go Ebony go! Rockin around the farm, like "who was ill...me? No darling, no time for that, I've got these fabulous long legs for strutting and Im gunna do my thing!" She's back up to pre intensive care weight, drinking 3 X what she was a day and able to support herself now too 🥰 So so pleased for her ! 🐑

Welcome to our page!

We are a Primary school, in Seal, Sevenoaks. Miss Spellman, the Outdoor Learning Leader has managed to secure enough funding to house chickens and bees on our school site!

Children need to understand where their food comes from as currently there is a real diconnection between farm and fork. Although we will not be a working farm, we will be teaching animal husbandry, lifecycles, animals role in society, respect, etc.

Children, throughout their Primary school life will become hands on carers for these animals and more, funding dependant. We are hoping to break down barriers and misconceptions whilst enabling the children to gain life skills such as confidence, care, respect for living things, patience, health and safety and have the enjoyment of having these animals on site!
