We support early neutering to reduce the cat population. All our cats & kittens are neutered before going to their new homes. 😸

Our gorgeous boy Sammy will be having Cryptorchid surgery on Friday morning as he was found to have a retained testicle when he went in for neutering 4 weeks ago. 😥
We waited another month just in case the testicle descended naturally but sadly that hasn’t happened. 😔

We have found that quite a few of the males we have neutered this year have had the same issue. For anyone interested, below is some more information on this condition.

“Cryptorchid surgery, or cryptorchidectomy, is a surgical procedure for cats to remove one or both undescended testicles that have remained in the abdomen or inguinal canal instead of descending into the scrotum. The surgery is recommended to prevent serious health problems like testicular cancer, torsion (twisting of the testicle), and to reduce undesirable male behaviors such as roaming and marking. It typically involves one or two incisions, depending on the testicle's location, and may be performed via traditional methods or laparoscopically for abdominal testicles, resulting in a longer procedure and recovery than a routine neuter.”

His sisters and I are missing him tonight and we are very worried about him. 😥

Please everyone, send positive thoughts that the surgery goes well for our lovely boy tomorrow. 🙏❤️😻🙏

Sadly we have had to make the extremely difficult decision to CLOSE our doors once again to incoming cats until further notice. 😥

Unfortunately our fosterers are full to bursting and we are struggling to look after & feed so many hungry mouths. 😥

We have so many cats waiting to come in to care, some that we have had to neuter & return over the summer due to lack of space. 😔

We will continue to try and find rescue space with trusted rescues that we work with for any urgent cases and we hope to be able to re-open our doors very soon if we can rehome some of the cats and kittens that are currently in our care. 🤞🏻

We are a small team of VOLUNTEERS and we DO NOT have a rescue centre, just a small team of fosterers looking after our cats and kittens in their homes.

PLEASE remember that we do this alongside our jobs, family, looking after our own animals & our homes and we are all at breaking point. The calls, emails, messages and FB tags are relentless and people expect us to be available 24/7.

2025 has been an extremely difficult year for rescues and the cat crisis in the UK is worsening every year. Our team are feeling stressed, exhausted & overwhelmed with the high numbers of cats & kittens needing help.
It is truly heartbreaking to have to turn cats & kittens away. 😔

We have always prioritised the most urgent cats........the strays, the injured & sick, the pregnant mummy cats and also the kittens but we are now in a position where we are unable to take in any more cats until we can rehome at least some of the cats in our care…..

We desperately want to be able to help every cat in our area, because every cat deserves a loving home and a full tummy so this is where YOU can help us by either ADOPTING one or more of our cats or pairs of kittens that are ready for a new home or by FOSTERING for WFCP.

If you can't do either of these then please SHARE our posts to help us to reach more people that may just be looking to adopt one of our gorgeous moggies. 🙏
