How many cat litter trays do I need?🤔 We often get this question from owners with multicat households, in
particular, when one of their feline friends is experiencing urinary problems or starts house-soiling.
The current recommendations state that you should have one more litter tray than the number of cats in the

house, so you can help reduce stress and avoid any bullying due to competition that might aggravate any pre-
existing issues.

Despite what many people think, rabbits are not easy pets for children!🐰❌ These adorable furry friends not only live for around ten years, but they also require a lot of attention, the company of other bunnies and a lot of space, as well as regular exercise and proper health care needs that are not suitable for younger children to manage.

Every pet is a serious responsibility and you should make sure you have the time, knowledge and space needed to bring bunnies into your family.

When was the last time your cat had their blood pressure measured?🐱 This simple check is quick and painless, helping us catch hypertension as early as possible.

Hypertension is often silent at first but, as it progresses, it can cause problems to sensitive organs, such as the eyes and the kidneys. This condition can also signal serious underlying problems like hyperthyroidism or chronic kidney disease.

This is why we encourage owners with cats over the age of seven years old to come see us for blood pressure monitoring at least once a year.

If your cat is struggling to eat, it might be that they have mouth problems! Tooth and gum conditions are extremely common in cats and if they are not treated, they may cause a lot of problems that include painful ulcers, bad breath and drooling.
To help avoid serious issues, our team recommends that you:

✔️Get your cat used to getting their teeth cleaned regularly at home, the earlier the better!
✔️Bring them in to see us every once in a while, for a thorough check-up and a deep clean as needed
✔️Keep a close eye on any problems like red gums, stained or broken teeth, bad breath or excessive drooling

“For this new year, I will…” is what many of us are saying during January, so we would like to suggest some resolutions that include your pets:

🐕I will schedule all of their vital preventative care, such as annual vaccines, regular parasite treatments and vet check-ups.
🐈I will see where I can upgrade their living spaces and provide accommodations for my pets with special needs.
🐇I will commit to spending quality time with them and enjoy our special time together!

Thank you to everyone who came along to our Christmas Party on Saturday, It was wonderful to see so many of you.

As always we had our 2025 Calendar reveal and announced our 13 winners, a huge thank you to all of the team for helping set up a wonderful event, and to those of you that have already bought one of our lovely calendars. We are helping to raise money for the Flori's Friends Rescue and every penny counts.

Join us at 2pm on Saturday 23rd November for a 1.5 hour session filled with everything you need to know in case your pet collapses. This course is given by our very own Dr. Julia Mewes MRCVS, who has extensive experience in first opinion and emergency veterinary medicine, and it will empower you to respond quickly and correctly in an emergency🐾
