Our aim is to re-home dogs that have suffered horrendous abuse in Cyprus & UK into forever homes. We have a small number of dogs in foster in the UK.

I absolutely love this boy, he is my kind of dog and we will fund raise to help with his flight costs 😍

💙 Bruno 💙

Bruno is 6 years old and he was rescued from a pound where the dogs had such an appalling life with no food, and lots of abuse and neglect. The pound was closed down by the police and different rescues each took some dogs. After we had already taken 4 dogs Bruno was the only one left behind 💔 because nobody wanted him 💔💔 and as usual it fell to us to help. So he came to Saving Souls.

Bruno is a very calm cuddly soul with no problems at all. He is a very quiet and calm dog and we think he could live successfully with a very calm female sibling.

He is good on the lead, he is toilet trained and he knows basic commands. He is a healthy boy and he loves to sit in a corner and cross his legs and wait for you go to pet him. He knows his name really well and he listens to what you tell him.

He will come neutered, vaccinated, chipped, vet checked and blood tested and with his own pet passport. He is currently in Cyprus but is looking for a home in the UK. Home check and adoption fees apply.

Raoul is a very good boy and has been waiting such a long time for a home. He went into rescue as a puppy and now he is 4 years old. He has come to us so we can find him a home and hope his luck changes so please share his post. He has done his time !

He is a very calm boy and is fine with people and other dogs. He may suit a more mature family as he is such a calm dog that just wants companionship and love .

He is maybe a bit shy when he first meets you but then is so friendly when you stroke and pet him and knows you are loving. He would love a quietish home with other calm dogs.

He is healthy and will fit in with most families so please message for more info and let’s get him out the cage and into a loving family.

Bentley would like to know what he needs to do to find a home? 🥰

Bentley is a small JRT boy of just 1 year old and just 12kg.

We saved him from a life in a cage where he was at risk of being put to sleep. We have taken him to our kennels with Vaso and are paying for him under Saving Souls.

He is a very good boy who is good with all dogs and loves humans.

He is very clever and has been having training and learns very quickly.

He loves to run and play and wants freedom and not a cage.

He is healthy and ready to find a home.

Yesterday I had an email from an adopter looking to adopt a friend for one of our Saved Souls Nobel who he adopted from us. Nobel had come over into foster in the UK 2 years ago and been adopted by Mark and his family. Little did they know at the time just how amazing Nobel would turn out to be.

I rang them to discuss the new dog they were interested in and asked how Nobel was getting on. I was blown away by the update about him….this is what Mark has to say about Nobel:

“We have had Noble now for over two years from Saving soul rescue and a day does not go by that he makes us smile.

He has surprised us in so many ways in the things that Noble does.

He like to swim and doing so tends to somehow catch fish ( small ones ), he does not hurt them he just gives them to me and I put them back 🥰

One day when I was out I fell over and he came back and sat by me until I got up and he knew I was ok.

But what has surprised us most as you can see from one of the photos is that my daughter in law has fits (epilepsy) and he knows when this is going to happen and then he lies on top of her to make sure she is ok 🤩

Noble is a fantastic dog and is so loving. He will always stay between us and any guests that we have come to visit us (in a friendly way) to look after us.

The way that you explained Noble to us is an underestimate to how good he is, we are so lucky to have such a loving dog.”

We often say that our Saved Souls rescue their adopters as much as they rescue them, but that truly is the case with Nobel. What a star 🌟

Gus is a small beagle cross boy of 4 years old. He was next to be put to sleep at an overcrowded pound so we took him to kennels with Vaso under Saving Souls. He’s done enough time in the Pound and kennels and we desperately need to find him a home.

Gus is a very good boy who is good with all dogs and loves humans.

He has stunning green eyes.

He is a calm and loving dog who would be amazing in any family.

From trash to treasure 🥰

Hope was in the Pound, heavily pregnant and so thin we didn’t know whether she would survive the birth or if any of the puppies would. She was probably thrown out like trash when she got pregnant after her owners didn’t spay her 😤

We could not leave her at the Pound to give birth to her puppies in filth on a concrete floor. They would all have died. So we scooped her up and took her to home boarding.

There she was nurtured and monitored and within a week had given birth to 6 little puppies. She did so well given how weak she was.

When Hope and her babies were old enough we managed to find them all homes 🙏❤️ And now look at Hope! She has the best life and a wonderful bond with her little human. She is treasured now, like she should be.

We are so thankful to Hope’s family for giving her the life and love she so deserves.

This is what we do and we are so grateful to every one of you for your continued support so we can keep changing the lives of dogs in need 🙏❤️

Hi everyone, I'm Sophie, a 5-month-old bundle of joy, and I have a little story to share... My sister and I have been together since we were tiny pups, sharing everything from toys to tummy rubs.

But here’s the thing—on the 15th of September, my sister is going to her forever home in the UK, and I’m so happy for her as she’s going to the most loving family! But she’s a little scared to fly alone, and to be honest, I’m really worried about staying behind in the kennels without her.

You see, I’m a calm, content, and playful girl, with a heart full of love just waiting for the right person to give it to.

I’m a mixed breed (a bit of pointer, a bit of spaniel, and a whole lot of sweetness!).

And all I want is to be by my sister’s side, comforting her on that big flight to her new life—and maybe, just maybe, finding a forever family of my own. Could that family be you? Or do you know someone who’s looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s ready to fill their home with wagging tails and puppy snuggles?

I am constantly astounded and frustrated by people. Please don’t adopt a puppy if you aren’t prepared for it to have accidents in the house or to spend some time with the puppy and help it settle into you home 😤😤😏

Azalea is the sister of 3 puppies already adopted into homes in the UK. We thought she had a home in Cyprus but they are returning her and she must go into a rescue cage by herself. This will not only be traumatic for her but dangerous for her as a puppy.

Please please consider offering her a foster or forever home. She can fly on the 15th September and we are desperate for her to be on that flight 🙏❤️❤️

The loss of a beloved pet is pretty unbearable and the only way I can see to ease it is to adopt another in Lucy’s memory.

I wanted to choose a dog who I had helped to save while Lucy was alive…..and so Sofia will fly to me in 4 weeks time. She is in foster care until she flies in September and is getting used to living in a home and living with cats, which is fantastic for her and for us integrating her into our home.

Sofia is the dog we received an email about back in January. She was living in a kennel in a car park of a car hire place in Cyprus. They didn’t think to get her spayed. So when the inevitable puppies arrived then we were asked to help 😬 she had 9 puppies!!!

A few of her puppies have been lucky enough to go to foster care and a few have been reserved to be adopted. But there are still puppies with no interest so drop us a message if you’d like more details 🙏❤️

Please meet the gorgeous Rebecca!

Rebecca is one of Lana's puppies, the old Hound found pregnant and wondering on the Motorway :(

Lana had 6 puppies and in spite of her old age has done a fabulous job of raising them into beautiful and healthy puppies. They are currently 11 weeks old and can be adopted on the next flight on the 15th September.

Lana and 5 of her puppies are all reserved and heading off to happy loving homes, except poor Rebecca, she is the only one left :(

Please share for dear Rebecca, she cannot be left alone at the shelter.

She can live with cats, dogs and kids as she has been around a very young child with one of the shelter volunteers.

❤️PEANUT❤️

We are absolutely desperate for poor Peanut now.

His kennel mate Phoebe has left to go on a trial in a home so he is alone and heartbroken.

This sweet, medium size boy is now 1 year 9 months old and he is suffering in the shelter and needs a home.

He was let down by his family when he was a pup. They abandoned him at the shelter as were going through a huge ordeal and they couldn't offer him the love he deserves.

He has been at the shelter for 6 months now and at the start was in a lot of shock but now he is stressed and losing weight and hope. You can see the difference in his appearance, in the photos. The earlier photos are of him, when he first arrived.
It is so sad.

The volunteers at the shelter, say this about him.

'He is the best boy ever, loving, playful, energetic and perfect around kids ( please watch the videos of him with the shelter volunteers' toddler ).
If the children are dog friendly, then he would be fine living with younger kids.
He never causes trouble when he is out, socialising with other dogs. He makes me cry most days because when you cuddle him, he is so happy and calm'

We are sure there is a family out there that will open their heart.

He lived in a house, before he was abandoned. If you can’t adopt then maybe you could offer to foster him? 🙏❤️

As we pass through the 6K follower mark 🎉 we have some even more exciting news to share……our bonded pair of sisters Stella and Rena from Dog Valley Rescue Center are reserved and will fly on the 15th September.

It’s so hard to find a home for black dogs and for pairs of dogs, so a pair of black dogs is asking the impossible! But these girls have been offered a home together! We are soooo exciting for them to find their home finally, and together 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Things have to change in this bl**dy country! Ignorant idi*ta! Dog Valley Rescue Center is not taking in more dogs because it is being evicted at the start of 2025!!!

What a wonderful person to throw out a mumma dog and her puppies and probably the dad and flip the bird to the volunteer. I hope Karma catches up with you while you drive off in your flash sports car. Someone will know who you are 😤

📣 Wally! In foster in Hemel Hempstead UK

Wally is a 1.5 year old pocket pointer and weighs just 15kg.

He is getting on really well in his foster home. He’s a very easy going dog. He is happy with one walk and have a snooze or equally happy to go for miles.

Wally is good with all people and he’s even been fine around younger children.

He is living in foster with a cat. He is fine with the cat but will chase if it runs outside. So either a cat free home or he could live with very dog-savvy cats.

He’s so easy to have around and loves human attention.

He is currently living with 2 other dogs at the foster home but socialising with lots of other dogs as the foster is a dog walker and boarder.

Wally is neutered, vaccinated and ones with rescue back up from Saving Souls Animal Rescue.

There’s something quite special to see a dog happy and enjoying life knowing that they literally wouldn’t be here if we hadn’t helped them.

We received a message about Marlen a few months ago. She had apparently been in a foster home and was going to be taken to the Pound.

We were expecting to collect a dog who was in good condition based on the fact she was supposed to have been in a foster home….but what we actually found was a dog in terrible condition, skin and bones. It was disappointing but obviously we had to help her.

She would not have lasted much time at the Pound. She was terrified and underweight and being a black dog would never have been adopted in Cyprus. They don’t give the dogs much time to find homes in the Cyprus Municipality Pounds because there are so many coming in each day, they need the cages, so the longest residents lose their lives to make room 😩😢

Thankfully for Marlen we were able to help her and take her to our home boarding where she received good food and some tlc.

….and we now have the best news….this weekend Marlen flew to her new home to join one of our other Saved Souls, Conor, who we raised funds to bring over to foster a while ago.

Marlen and Conor have settled in so well together already and we couldn’t be happier for the pair of them.

Adopting a dog through us really does make a difference 🙏❤️

Please meet the absolutely gorgeous Cherry who is currently in foster in Worcester UK 🥰

Cherry is a beautiful cross breed lady who is now 4 years old.

This is what her foster mum says about her:

Cherry has loads of love to give. She is an amazing sweet girl who just wants fuss/love and walks.

Cherry is used to walking on the lead and responds well to voice commands. She has been off the lead a couple of times and come back no problem at all.

She likes to play fetch with the ball and loves a chew.

She understands basic commands like sit, stay and no.

She is toilet trained ans used to living in a home and has never had an accident in the house.

She sleeps well at night on the sofa and doesn’t stress that she is alone.

She looks for us out the window if we go out but always settles down quickly although she doesn’t get left at home much in the day as the I work nights.

She has loved every dog that we have met and she is excellent around people and brilliant with my children.

She gets excited by cats and small furry things and given the opportunity will chase them; her tail is wagging while she does it so I think it’s a curious/playful thing, but for this reason we prefer a cat-free home please.

Cherry has no health issues at all, eats dry food and anything else you give her.

She was found as a stray between Pafos and Limassol in Cyprus.

She is a sweet puppy who is fine with other dogs. Being a puppy she could live either way cats and children as long as introduced responsibility, as with all dogs.

✨Please meet lovely Luna!

❤️She is a gorgeous pointer cross girl, around 2.5 years old, weighing approx 28kg.

🏡She was living in a home before coming to us but unfortunately her owner had to leave the country, unable to take her with him.

😢As you can imagine she is extremely stressed at the shelter and desperately needs a home to call her own.

🎾Luna loves to play and splashing around in water, when she gets the chance to, which sadly isn’t very often 😔
She loves her humans and is generally good with other dogs.

🏃‍♀️We feel she would be happiest, belonging to an active family.

😢Found abandoned and alone and left to fend for themselves.

🙏They would surely have perished but a nice man found them and will keep them safe at his home IF we can find loving homes for them

🐶All are beautiful, friendly, playful and deserve loving families!

💉They have had their first vaccines and DOB was 8/5/2024 so currently 12 weeks old.

⚖️I believe they will grow to medium size although Leo is smaller than his siblings.

Hi, I’m Baloo and apparently today has been my very first birthday🥳 I arrived from the shelter in Cyprus 5 weeks ago when I met my new Mum & Dad. I think I am bigger (I’m quite a lanky boy) and a few months younger (still really a pup) than they were expecting but that just means there is more of me to love for longer. I have my own bed (but I've sleept in with Mum every night), get a bowl of food twice a day (and treats if I’m a really good boy or clever boy), tonnes of cuddles and kisses and go out for lots of walks. I have been to the vets (I got treats), a pet shop (they gave me lots of treats), a drive-thru (I was allowed a chicken nugget) and to a coffee shop in the park (where I had my very own doggy ice cream)🍦 So far I:

Love - eating/snoozing/going out for walks (I’m always friendly to other people and dogs I meet)/sticking my ho**er into anything and everything and generally being nosey/belly rubs and snuggles/sofas and zoomies/following Mum around/sunbathing in the garden/weekends/being called a good boy/my snuffle mat.

Don't like - cats/the hosepipe/flies (I pogo round my house trying to catch them – Mum says I’m part kangaroo🦘)/having ear cleaner put into my ears/intruders (pigeons) in my garden/when Mum & Dad go somewhere without me/the postman (unless he’s delivering something for me).

Misdemeanors - toileting in the house (only 3 times though and it was my first few days)/knocking Mum over (I was zooming and forgot to apply my brakes)/raiding the recycling (it smelt of food)/dumping salmon oil onto the front room carpet (I “found” it on the kitchen worktop)/ripping the net curtains (Mum & Dad left without me)/peeing in the plant pots (I was helping Mum with the watering)/licking Mum & Dad’s coffees (they left their cups unattended).

Aims -1. catch a squirrel, 2. break into the fridge, 3. persuade Mum & Dad that I should get to test all food.

All in all, I am a very happy and comfortable boy who is still learning how to live in a home, what words mean and how to play with toys. Thank you Saving Souls Animal Rescue and auntie Lina Andronicou for helping me find my forever family🐕🐾❤

❤️Please Meet Mila ❤️ 🇨🇾When I was in Cyprus a couple of weeks ago I was visiting Dog Valley Rescue. 🧒group of children were playing on a trampoline and this girl came wizzing out of her cage and jumped on the trampoline with the children . 🐶She was amazing and she was so happy. She rolled and jumped and played with the children for ages 🏡Mila was adopted and returned to rescue because she got too big !! She is not huge at all and is a girl who just adores people and children . 4️⃣It is criminal for her to be locked away in a cage when she has so much love to give. She is around 4 years old now and is healthy and it would be amazing for her to find a loving home. Marlen can finally sleep easy after her previous existence as a stray in Cyprus and then in the Municipality Pound. As strays they don’t sleep fully as they have to always be alert to danger from both humans and other street dogs. In the Pound it is incredibly noisy with distressed barking and whining from other dogs there, and many times they will have to share a cage with other dogs, which means they cannot sleep properly for the noise and needing to stay alert So when dogs move into a home environment it’s the first time they can completely relax and sleep properly ❤️ sometimes they will sleep a lot to start with while they decompress and catch up on years of missed sleep. ❤️LUNA❤️ Under NICOSIA DOG SHELTER Luna is a lovely pointer cross girl, around 2,5 years old (DOB 10/01/2022) and large in size (currently 28kg). She was living in a home before coming to us but unfortunately her owner had to leave the country, unable to take her with him. As you can imagine she is extremely stressed at the shelter and desperately needs a home to call her own. Luna loves to play, loves her humans and is generally good with other dogs.
