We are a UK based volunteer team who are passionate about dog rescue. UK registered charity 1209645. Saving Souls Animal Rescue Registered Charity 1209645.

Our aim is to rescue, rehabilitate and help find homes for dogs in Shelters and Pounds across the Republic of Cyprus. All our dogs are neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped before being rehomed. Most of our dogs are in Cyprus but are looking for homes in the UK. We have a small number of dogs in foster in the UK. You can view all the dogs we have available on our website here:

Adoption fee is around £650, this includes travel to the UK and preparation for adoption: neutering, vaccinations, blood tests and health check, pet passport and micro chip. You can complete a Foster application form via our website here:

I need a miracle for this boy 🥹🙏 he’s been stuck in the Pound too long and he’s starting to lose hope 💔 don’t be fooled by this happy photo, it’s a moments respite from the cage to capture a nice photo in the hopes of finding him a home 🥹🥹

Charlie is a beautiful young boy with a gentle soul and lovely manners. He is a large dog at 33kg.

He walks perfectly on the lead, loves to run and fetch, and already knows basic commands like sit and paw.

He gets along very well with female dogs and is selective with males. On walks, he is friendly with other dogs, and off-lead he enjoys the company of females.

Charlie loves his toys and happily lets people take them from him, but he tends to guard them from other dogs — likely a habit from shelter life that can be worked on with guidance and consistency.

Smart, energetic, and eager to bond, Charlie would thrive in an active family who can give him the exercise, stimulation, and companionship he needs. A home with a garden where he can stretch his legs and enjoy playtime would be ideal.

Happy Halloween from Saved Soul Winston 🎃 🥰

Please remember, there will be lots of fireworks this evening.
- keep your dogs on a lead when outside, even in the garden if they are scared of fireworks just in case
- don’t walk your dogs after dark cos that’s when fireworks are likely to be set off
- contact your adoption co-ordinator if you do have an incident where you dog runs off as we have lots of contacts and advice we can give

But hopefully that won’t be needed and all the doggies, saved souls or otherwise, will stay safe 🙏🙏🙏🙏

This past year I have been completing a challenge. To run 100km every month. This started off by taking just my girl Sofia out, and then Lily came to us in June so she had to come along. And now Biscuit does too 🥴🤪
You can image the carnage trying to complete a running challenge with 3 dogs in tow 😅

Anyway, we have just completed it, so it’s 1200km in 12 months. All in aiming our animal rescue.

🆘 Small dog still looking for a lovely home 🆘

❌ ✨ Meet Dario ✨ ❌

This sweet little soul ended up at the pound in the middle of June. He’s a 4,5 year-old Jack Russell cross who has already endured far more than any dog ever should.

🥺 When DARIO arrived, he was in a heartbreaking state — filthy, neglected, and bearing the raw, painful mark of a chain that had clearly grown too tight over time. It’s likely he was tied up as a puppy, and as he grew, the collar became embedded in his skin. 💔

🐕But DARIO is a fighter. He’s now healing, slowly learning to trust, and beginning to understand that not all humans will hurt him. With gentle care and patience, he’s starting to open up and show his true self : a loving, affectionate boy who just wants to feel safe.

💛 DARIO still has a lot to discover — what it means to be loved, to have someone care for him, to feel that he’ll never be hurt again. Despite all he’s been through in his short life, he is incredibly sweet and eager for affection.

🏡 If you’re looking for a small-sized companion with a big heart, DARIO could be the one. For now, we believe he would do best as an only dog in a home, where he can have all the time and space he needs to blossom.

Lily (was Aria)

Lovely Lily is looking for her own home. She is a medium sized dog at 18kg and estimated to be 5 years old. She is with me in foster in South Bristol.

I’m looking for her forever home, a family who want to help a dog more than they want a dog to fit into their requirements. She needs someone kind and patient.

Lily clearly has a background of being abused which is why she needs a patient home. She is still scared of men but has come on a long way already, so this will need to continue to be worked on, but I’m sure will improve further with time and patience.

Lily is a wonderful dog. She sleeps well at night.

She has no separation anxiety so can be left for short periods of time.

Lily is good with other dogs, but as with all dogs, needs careful first introductions.

Lily is used to wearing a harness and lead and her absolute favourite thing is to go out for walks/runs with me and the other 2 dogs. She is a hound so does have a scent drive. I do let her off lead in more secure areas and she loves to run. She recalls but if there’s a scent then her natural tendencies take over. But with consistent recall training that could improve as she loves to please and I’ve not worked much on recall training yet.

She is clean in the house, apart from accidents if she is scared.

I never see any aggression from Lily, even when she’s very scared. She’s great with my loud 7 year old child, lets him pet her and sit with her. But she would benefit from a quiet home so a home preferably without young children purely on that basis.

She currently lives with a cat in the house and lots of cats around outside on walks and is not bothered by them.

She really is a lovely dog and with the right home who have time to help her she will flourish.

Meet and greets are absolutely essential. Home check applies.

YES Jasper! Finally! FINALLY you have your chance! You are boarding that plane arriving in the UK on 9th November and will say goodbye to Cyprus for good 💪

This is your time now, after spending months of your puppy life in a rescue kennel 😩

I am literally devastated for this boy. He spent his life in Cyprus not being cared for, stuck in an enclosure with nothing and no interaction from anyone or anything 😔 he got chosen for adoption 🎉…but now he must move 💔

Absolutely full credit to his adoptive family for keeping him while we’ve tried to find him a home. But for safety reasons he must move. And so if we don’t find a foster or forever home then he must move to kennels 💔 none of us want to see that happen 🥹 so if you can help in any way, please message us 🙏🙏 he’s currently in Glasgow but can move anywhere in UK.

Axel is a very intelligent, loyal, and calm mixed Lab/ Shephard male dog, 4.5 yrs old.

His foster dad says:

Axel’s favourite things are walks and playing with a kong toy stuffed with treats.

He is very food motivated and has been trained in basic commands using treats.

He can be protective over food and needs space when eating and to be kept out of busy kitchen areas where there are multiple people as he will try and scavenge or take food from people. Due to this he needs an adult only family preferably a single person or couple.

He walks well on the lead and can be let off the lead in traffic free areas. Axel will follow his ‘person’ so there is very little concern about running away.

He is very sociable and loves meeting other dogs and people when out on walks.

Axel will chase cats and small animals but more out of curiosity than as prey but maybe best in a cat free home.

He is house trained and has had no issues in the house. He has not been crate trained and spent a lot of his early years in a cage so preferably he would love a bed in a room.

He is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated so please message us for more info 🙏🙏

Ella 🥹💔

We can’t believe this beautiful girl still hasn’t had any interest 😔

Her foster parents are leaving Cyprus soon, so Ella
urgently needs a home of her own.

Ella is a smaller German Shepherd mix is as loyal and loving as they come. She’s a sensitive, emotional soul who bonds deeply with her people — the kind of dog who will love you with her whole heart.

Ella prefers to be the only dog in the home, but she absolutely adores people. She’s smart, devoted, eager to please,
and even muzzle-trained — making walks and outings safe and stress-free.

What Ella wants more than anything is a family to call her own — someone to give her the love and security she so deserves. In return, she’ll be the most faithful friend you could ever hope for.

🌊💙 MEET BARNEY – THE WATER DOG WHO’S WAITING FOR HIS FOREVER 💙🌊

Barney was born in March of this year — a bright-eyed, tail-wagging ball of sunshine with a heart as big as the ocean he’d love to splash in.

But now, at almost 8 months old, he’s beginning to wonder… why hasn’t anyone chosen him yet?

Barney is currently growing up in a shelter in Cyprus — and while he’s safe, fed, and loved by his carers, this isn’t the life a pup like Barney dreams of.

This beautiful, water-loving boy was born for adventure, for cuddles on the sofa after a day of play, for the squeals of laughter from kids as he chases bubbles in the garden.

He’s got everything going for him:

🧸 Cuddly, sweet, and gentle (with just the right amount of puppy mischief!)

🌊 Obsessed with water – think beach days, puddle jumps, or kiddie pool zoomies!

👶 Great with children – friendly and patient, with a heart full of love
🐾 Gets along well with other dogs

🏡 Will absolutely thrive in a loving, active home

But here’s the truth:

If no one steps forward, Barney could grow up thinking he’s not wanted.

He could become another forgotten face in a shelter, slowly losing that sparkle in his eyes. And that? That breaks our hearts.

So near and yet so far....I'm so sorry little pup 🥹 You had a space on the freedom flight on 9th November but your family withdrew 🥲

Poor little Chloe, such disappointment at such a young age, we really don't want her to stay behind. She is only about 22 weeks old.

She was found with 4 other little puppies at 2 weeks old in a grotty pound. We HAD to get them out of there, they simply would not have survived in the terrible conditions.

These lovely babies were born in a farmer’s field by a stray and scared but very sweet mom.

We are expecting them to grow into medium size dogs when fully grown.

There are 2 boys and 2 girls still looking for a home.

Chloe is currently 10 kg and is a beautiful healthy puppy who is a confident playful little girl.

Full of cuddles, curiosity, and playful energy, she is ready to bring joy into your life.
