Hello all now puppy owners,

We are grateful for all of the photos that you have sent to us on there progress and how they have fit in to there new homes. It is lovely to see how well they are doing and getting all the love they need. The house has felt empty since the weekend but I think we are just about used to the norm now. I hope for the best for everyone and training of your new pooch is smooth sailing. Keep up the good work and we shall see you in lot in the future.

Best regards loves and hugs (socially distance of course)

Joseph, Jamie, Perdita, Jacob, Jazz, Thyme and Mr Smudgly

This was our final week that we have been dreading for awhile but happy to know that they will be going to amazing homes. They are all lovely, happy and health and progressed really well, some more than others but that what gives them there individuality and something to look forward to experience yourselves. We shall miss all of these puppies, but we look forward to a time where we can all meet up and have nice run around and catch up.

This is the time they had there injection and after it settled in over a few days to ensure they were protected to a degree, we allowed them to leave the enclosure and explore our kitchen and living room which they loved and made it harder to go in to there enclosure to clean or feed as they now think they could go out overtime and this ended with having to chase 7 puppies around the house to get them back in which happened on many occasions. Each now from just how they acted were easily identifiable and we began to recognise and choose what was best to describe each of the pooches.

Week six is where the coats began to grow alot more and confidence was going through the roof ready for when they are 7 weeks to be able to let them run around out of their enclosure. Each are more and more looking like individuals and their personalities each became to shine through. at this stage we had to use a large colander to be able to successfully weigh them with a bit difficulty.

Through week five as you can see they are beginning to look a lot bigger. Their teeth are a lot more developed and less water will be added to there food to increase the ability to eat more solid foods. They are all becoming very much more social and active and chewing everything in their path. We are going to try our best to reduce the amount of force they bite with and encourage them to chew their toys and use the word gentle to help them some what understand. Each puppy are beginning to show there characters and with there eye sight and hearing much better. Its now harder to get away without them noticing us and the whining begins and further difficulties of cleaning them out with being attacks isn't a possibility anymore (there is photos of this helpfulness somewhere). So food or jazz is our only saving grace. They are going to be putting a lot more weight on with the solid food and through this week on average they gained around 700g, rather than the average 400g in week 4. They all weight roughly around 2.7kg by the end.

Welcome puppy owners, to our very own page for where only you can see the healthy development of each stage of the puppies and be apart of their day to day activates and growth through from when they are born, till the day they leave to join their new found families forever homes. Thankyou for giving us the confidence and making the whole process worthwhile.

This would be achieved with weekly posts of photos and a range of videos. And as always, we are happy to answer questions when ever possible. Hope you enjoy this precious time of there lives and you are all ready to take on the responsibilities of these bundles of joys.

Best regards from jasmine and Alfie and the Bourke-Trotham Family

The weeks start busier from now through more mess as moving on to solids (well slop and this point) as there eyes, teeth and gut are more developed. Training starts for them to got to the toilet as they can excrete independently without stimulation. We have began to train them to got to the toilet (using the word toilet) in the same area. This is going to be lots of trial and error. But by the end of this week they are successful 75% of the time going on the puppy pads, mostly without command. However as typing this, one did it on their bedding so we will call it 70%. Jazz is becoming more willing to go in with them as she's not only feeding them, but also now able to interact through play and get a better response to telling them off when they are doing something wrong. The puppies are also, leaping, bounding, running and walking more successfully and their coats are showing more detail and thickness pronouncing each of the puppies individual characteristics. Each of the puppies are now around 2kg in weight at this point.

In this week they have started to open there eyes and by the end they are almost fully open. There eyesight isn't the greatest at the moment, and its more shadows and movement they can see. Closer to the end of the week there hearing would also start to develop and some training can begin. The puppies are now showing more social behaviors and begin to play with one another and start to walk with more strength, but tend to end up walking sideways and falling over and tend to end up back where they started. The teeth are also coming through and now the biting begins and the signs for weaning and lapping will start in the following week.

Here the puppies weight just shy or over 600/700 grams and by the end of this week they will just be over a 1kg. Each of the puppies are becoming more mobile and less stationary and still rely on taste, touch and smell and getting more textures in there hair. Life for the puppies is simple over these first two weeks as its all about eating, pooing and sleeping. However, from next week is the beginning of development towards their independence.

Here these photos span over the first week. Labour took around 14 hours before jazz started giving then another 3 hours for all of them to be birthed which began at 7am and was completed just after 11am. Each of the puppies were just smaller than our hands. At this point they only rely on touch, smell and taste to find Jazz to feed. They roughly only weighed around 400gs and by the end of this week they will be just shy of 800gs.
