We are always pleased to receive messages from our adoptive families such as this, it makes all of the long hours and miles travelled worthwhile
This young Border Collie came to us recently very nervous and spent the first 48 hrs barking and showing teeth at anyone who came near him. Once he became confident he became a very loving boy who just wanted to please.
He now has a fabulous knowledgable home on a farm and we couldn't be happier for both him and his new family.❤️❤️

Another busy week. Bentley our Cavachon went back to the vets for dental work. He's doing great and has a forever home waiting thanks to the wonderful ladies at Cavachon UK Rescue.❤️

Winnie has been adopted to her perfect family and we have had reports she's doing great. ❤️

Teddy has also found his perfect match and we have had lots of updates that make us certain we found him the right home. He came to us very scared with fear aggression at only 7 months old yet left us and settled straight in to his new home playing with toys and snuggling up to his new mum.❤️

We have several small dogs joining us over the next few days filling these spaces . We don't often find time for social media posts but will do our best to share pictures upon arrival

Although our fosterers are fantastic any donations of food, toys, beds, leads, towels, blankets etc are very gratefully received as most of these dogs arrive with nothing.

We are always looking for foster homes to enable us to help more animals in need.
If you think that you could foster either dogs cats or small furries please get in touch for a chat with one of our friendly volunteers

Now this is just adorable!

Dexter was with ourselves before we officialised as SDWAR. He was born on our premises by his mother who was the original rescue donk. All grown up now in his loan home, he’s stealing the show wherever he goes! (Nothing has changed!)

A three-year-old donkey is this year’s star attraction in a Staffordshire village nativity walk.

Thank you all for your help regarding the found Cockapoo, and Actionclad 2001 Ltd for keeping her safe whilst we worked to locate her. Her owner has been contacted via details on the microchip and we are in discussion. This is a reminder to PLEASE check your dogs collar fits correctly! If you are unsure how, please visit your local pet shop for advice. And this is also a prime example of why we should all do our bit for our furry friends by updating their microchips with your current details as in this case reunification would not have been possible without it!

Thank you once again everyone for assisting in getting this little girl home! 🐾❤️

PSA:

As we are all aware, we are expecting a rather adverse winter weather wise.

We are keen to do as much as we can to serve the communities we cover, therefore we shall be utilising our 4x4 in order to rescue stranded vehicles in rain, or assist with traction and movement in snow. This was in high demand last year, so is offered on a first come first serve basis and we will always put our animal cases first.

This service will be available 24hrs/day however we cannot make guarantees due to the restraints that winter will put on our resources.

We will only be covering Derbyshire and Staffordshire as to keep our resources as free as possible.

Please note we will not assist on closed roads unless there is a genuine reason for you to be there, i.e being a resident. We will not tow you home, however as a short term we will tow you to a safe place. We also reserve the right to refuse rescue if the situation puts our staff or vehicle at risk.

We would always advise that incidents causing imminent threat to life or limb should be reported to the emergency services first, however once happy the scene is safe, we will be happy to assist.

In order to request our assistance, please call 01283 296331 and select option 3, or out of business hours speak to the out of hours team.

Please be vigilant as there is a scam doing the rounds. We are NOT doing a BIG Christmas do (but we will be having a SMALL Christmas event) and we will never advertise for stall holders outside of our official platforms.

Please report ANY scam posts and feel free to contact us directly if you are unsure. You can contact via THIS page, call us on 01283 569165 or email us on [email protected]

Hi All

Apologies for the lack of posts recently, we’ve been busy with winter well underway! ❄️

Unfortunately in the past few weeks we have lost our 4 x 4 rescue vehicle to total engine failure, this now requires a replacement engine.

If anyone is able to help it would be greatly appreciated, we wouldn’t ask if we weren’t desperate. Monday night proved that this asset is invaluable. You can read more on the GoFundMe page below.

We appreciate that due to the time of year and the current cost of living crisis that it is not practical to donate for many, however any donations or even shares of the link will make a difference!

UPDATE
Thank you so much to everyone who shared tagged and messaged.❤️❤️❤️
JD has been to meet a prospective new family where he was immediately very settled and they have kindly offered to give him a home.🥰
This was the best possible scenario for a home to home rehoming, we are so pleased for everyone involved to have such a good outcome

* Please don't ever be afraid to ask for help if you need it. As a rescue we will always try our best to help, even if in like this case it's just trying to find a nice home and offering RBU without them coming into a foster home. *

We are looking for someone with a quiet home to adopt a little dog who is finding his current situation too stressful.
He is still with his family who have asked for help finding him a suitable home

This is what his owner has said.

JD Black and Tan jack russel terrier. 10 years old. Neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. Lived with the same family since he was a puppy and greatly loved but unfortunately as our children have gotten older he’s struggling with the noise level which is stressing him out and making him howl and itch.
Has lived happily with cats but tends to bark at other dogs. Very affectionate and energetic. He’s a wonderful dog but unfortunately for his own health we are looking for another, quieter home for him.

Home check will apply
He will have Rescue Backup via ourselves

If you would like to discuss further please with pm or call 07415 421898

Update - This beautiful boy has now found a fabulous forever home where he seems to have settled straight away. ❤️❤️

Thanks to everyone who shared and messaged and to Vanessa for doing everything possible to look after him whilst he had taken up residence in her garden

URGENT APPEAL - PLEASE SHARE

❤️Can anyone give this gorgeous boy a home to call his own? ❤️

Either foster or adopt.

We have been contacted by a lady whose garden he is living in, he follows her round and loves to be fussed, he is desperate to come inside but the resident cat will not accept him.

He is believed to have once been a much loved pit as he is so friendly and wants to be in the house. He has a clipped ear so has been neutered.

He is not chipped but will be before he is rehomed. No one has come forwards to claim him after advertising on social media so we are hoping someone will offer him a home.
He is worm and flea treated

He is living in the garden but desperately wants to come inside. The lady whose garden he is living in has offered to provide food if we can find him a home to call his own❤️

If you can help him please either pm or contact us on 07415 421898
