Look at these sleepy pups 🥹 We regularly get photos from clients after classes of their dogs snoozing away. Training is not only important to teach our dogs life skills, it is so mentally stimulating for them. Try not to solely focus on physically tiring your dogs out through excessive exercise, try to incorporate some mental enrichment into their every day lives for a happy, healthy dog #rewardbasedtraining #dogtraining #mentalstimulationfordogs
A massive merry Christmas from the team at Mossy paws!! Our Hucknall classes were such a laugh, and we loved how competitive you all got, while still working as a team with your dogs. We hope each and every one of you and your dogs have a lovely Christmas and new year, keep up the fantastic work 🎄🎅

🎄MERRY CHRISTMAS🎄
Snippets from our carlton Christmas class. We had a very fun filled session with everything from a Christmas obstacle course to gravy bone and spoon races. The dogs and owners put 110% into all of the games and it was great to see everyone having fun together 🎅
For the past two weeks we have been working with little Billy here. As you can see in the first two clips from our consult Billy is very excited about his walks and pulls his owner the whole time. After some work on door/gateway control and loose lead walking he is doing brilliantly and leaving in a much calmer, more controlled manner setting him and his owner up for a much more enjoyable walk. Billy is an absolute pleasure to work with and picks things up so quickly 🐶 #dogtraining #looseleadwalking #nottinghamdogs
Some snippets of the spooky fun and games from yesterdays session with our Hucknall class 👻 #happyhalloween #dogtraining #halloweenfun
Some snippets from todays session with lovely violet. We have been working on threshold training, meaning she never leaves the house without being called out. This is an amazing safety tool to have in your belt, you never know what is going to be the other side of the door so it’s important that you can get out first and check everything is safe. It also helps for your dogs that bolt out to greet visitors which is not only dangerous for your dog but can be frightening for other people. Violets a really quick learner and her and her owners are always a true pleasure to work with, giving everything 100%. They have a real love and understanding for her and we love to see the partnership growing even more through training #boundarytraining #nottinghamdogtraining #positivereinforcement #clevergirl
Chester is a nervous little lad, the first half of the video was when we first started working with him. I could barely move or make any noise near him without him getting scared and bolting. With some trust building exercises, moving at his pace, Chester was chasing me around the garden by the end of the next session, not at all scared by my voice or movements. This perfectly demonstrates our ethos, that with kindness and patience you can really build a great bond with your dogs and watch their confidence grow massively! 💕🐕🦺
We absolutely love being sent footage from you all with the progress you are making. 🐾
Archie has been making amazing progress throughout the time he has been with us and the loose lead walking is coming along really well and everyone is able to enjoy their walks with him especially being much calmer around people. 😁🐾
Keep up the amazing work 🐾
Not much is known about Cocos history as she was found in the woods in Italy, fending for herself. Considering this she is such an amazing, clever little dog with a lovely temperament and bond with her owner. However, her past has meant she is quite the scavenger and gets herself into a lot of trouble eating things off the floor with very little impulse control.
After just 2 sessions she is now leaving chicken dropped on the floor right in front of her, which is such huge progress! We have also worked a lot on her focus and recall when out in busy places. It has been such a pleasure working with her and her owner who has really put the work in outside of the training sessions and has such a great attitude towards Coco. Keep up the great work 🦴🐶
Here is a small snippet of what we get up to at classes🐾🐾

Small snippet from last weeks social walk at bestwood country park. We had five excitable dogs meeting each other for the first time, they all quickly calmed down and were able to walk alongside each other in controlled and calm manner. It was so nice to see the dogs and handlers working so well as a team and make new friends that are going through some of the same things.
Drop us a message if you’d like to join our social walks, group classes or would like some 1-1 support 🦮🌳
We had a great session with Bruno yesterday. Seeing some great improvements to his obedience since our last session.

Little Hercules, we have been doing 1:1 obedience training with this fantastic pup. Here he is showing some amazing loose lead walking, with this only being his 3rd session, he his progressing really well 😁
