#tongueoutthursday … they’re never quite understood it’s supposed to be Tuesday 🤦🏻♀️😂
Lots of grass rolling, back scratching and finding the shade today as well as welcoming 16 week old Teddy to the pack (we have 8 Teddy’s now so you@might want to check you have the right one 🤪😂🐾)
Lovely fun day in the sun kind of day.
Individual heel work for a Bert, Diesel and Flynn.
Sit/stay, recall and leave for everyone and a chance for a lovely play off lead while they are learning basic doggie manners 🐾
Started doing reels with live photos instead of static ones so you can see more of what the dogs get up to in the day … the dogs do the funniest things throughout the day so hopefully this way you get to see more of their lovely characters … so if you prefer this type then give us a 👍 in comments or if you prefer normal photos just let us know 🐾
We actually had to work today … what no Bank Holiday Monday??!! But as we always say, spending all day with this lovely lot will never be work to us 🥰🐾
Big day today … Leo had his first swim in the pond in tonight’s 1:2:1 session, Jasper did some fantastic water retrieves in his 1:2:1 session and the the two group walks had lots of fun in sun, with a little help from extra posh treats from little Alfie.
Have a lovely weekend everyone 🥰🐾
Lots of fun in the group obedience class tonight. We introduced some agility elements to the class to help dogs work on heel work, sit and recall and give the dogs something new to learn.
Great session everyone 👏👏🐾🐾
Great session this morning. Dogs are now working more and more off lead independently and listening to the different commands owners are giving them. Made up with how well they are all doing.
I often have owners apologising if their dog gets distracted but there’s no need to apologise as this is what the group training is for.
Your dog needs to learn to listen to your commands without getting distracted and understand you are better than any distraction they can find - other dogs, rabbits, ball throwers, people, birds …
No dog is perfect so the training gives you and your dog the tools and commands to help when something out of your control happens.
And don’t forget one of the most important thing to teach your dog is to learn to do nothing, training is not always about doing something!
Have a fab weekend everyone!
I would like to give a HUGE shout out to Grace who has one of the most difficult dogs I’ve ever come across but has never, ever given up on him.
Her dedication and determination to her dog is unbelievable. There are not many girls her age, or any age for that matter, who will spend any spare time they have standing in a freezing cold field training their dog but she does it every chance she gets and today she proved it was worth it.
Grace, you are one tough nut, most people would have given up on Jasper a long time ago but you didn’t … he’s finally learnt you are the wrong person to mess with as you don’t give up! 🙌🙌

These Obedience classes saved a dog today!
Constantly practicing the basics meant the dog and owner knew exactly what to do in a situation that could have had unthinkable consequences on a walk this morning. Automatic commands kicked in for them both and the dog knew exactly what he was supposed to do 🙌
Never underestimate how important the basic commands are and no matter how well trained your dog is, continue practicing them all their lives.
