Barkley & Co's New Apprentice

Well it's been some time since we posted and for the last few months things have looked a little different at B & Co. HQ

In October 2022 we welcomed a new addition to our little family.
Following this, we've taken some time to adjust to the new dynamic - it's been our best adventure so far!

We've closed the website for now but we're getting things ready to reopen in the next few weeks.

In the meantime we really want to thank all of those that have continued to tag us and recommend us, despite our social media presence being low.
We appreciate each and every one of you who has continued to support our small business and can't wait to press play on the next chapter of our adventures.

The dark nights and smell of bonfires in the air has got us in the mood for some Mulled Wine.

But as we have none of that in the office we'll have to make do with some Mulled Wine at Midnight (B & Co style)

Wow! We truly are blessed to have such amazing support for our business!

Yesterday we launched our new Gemstone duo for Autumn/Winter 21, bringing you Garnet and Emerald.

We also launched our new Traffic Handles, as well as our B & Co. Hoodies.

We are blown away by just how many orders we've already received since the launch - it's certainly going to be a busy day here at HQ getting all your orders prepped and packed.

We can't wait for them to reach their new homes and to be taken on adventures with you.

Despite the gloomy weather we're still making the most of being outside with our easy-to-clean accessories.

We love the hue in our lavender biothane range, finished with rose gold hardware.

𝕄𝕦𝕕𝕕𝕪 𝕒𝕕𝕧𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕦𝕣𝕖𝕤 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕓𝕖𝕤𝕥

Well we hoped that the arrival of Summer would bring with it some dryer weather and maybe a few less puddles - we were wrong.

Somehow ambassadog manages to find the muddiest puddles everywhere she goes. And it's great watching her play and dig and generally living her best life. Even better watching her playing with her dad.

But all that stinky mud!!

When we started Barkley & Co we knew we wanted to create a product that would be perfect for just this kind of adventure.

Thank goodness our collars are so easy to clean - just a wipe down with a damp cloth and they're as good as new! They've certainly made life easier for us. We just wish it was easy to clean the dog, the car and the house.

We've followed Ruby since she was a wee pupper and have loved watching her grow.

It's feels such a privilege now to see her proudly wearing her B & Co Lavender collar - we think she looks fabulous in it.

As we continue with Mental Health Awareness week, we've been having discussions lately about social media.

On the whole we have had positive experiences of social media on both professional and personal accounts.

During the pandemic we've been grateful to have a platform to communicate via and to keep in touch with our loved ones.
But sadly not everybody has been as fortunate as us and, let's be brutally honest, it can also be quite a toxic place and detrimental to mental health at times.

The unrealistic depictions of our lives or the lives of influencers can often leave us feeling deflated and inferior. And yet we spend hours of our lives on these platforms - especially as it's been our main for of contact with the world of late.

We've loved sharing our business and our pups development on our own pages and this has been an outlet for us to sometimes escape real-life, but when is it too much? Where do we draw the line?

Today's post is sparked by my early wake-up call in the wee hours of the morning.

The beautiful sound of the dog regurgitating a sock that she decided to swallow whole.

I've no idea where she came upon this item, but apparently it needed to be devoured while I slept peacefully.
This sort of behaviour worries me as a dog owner - I often think of the 'what ifs' but today I'm grateful and just mostly laughing at the thought.

I seriously never knew how much was edible until I had a dog.

With Spring just around the corner, we've been busy getting prepared for the launch of our new Spring range.
We promise there is not much longer to wait now and we are super excited to see what you all think of the new colours.

But we've had many many meetings about it.

We've also discussed the growth of the business and our sales numbers on the rise and plans for moving forward too.

But we also had to discuss where huge amounts of our profits were going. It would appear that a certain Ambassadog has been helping herself to way too many company-bought treats and toys so she was put on a disciplinary.
But then she gave us the Puppy dog eyes and we decided to just forget all about it - after all, she's been a very good girl and a great asset - as have all of our brand reps ☺️

Sundays are our absolute fave!

Lockdown seems to get tougher and tougher, but we think its important to keep looking to the things we are grateful for - Sundays make it all bearable for us.

Lazy mornings in PJs with a brew, afternoon walks followed by a roast dinner. All topped off with snuggles on the sofa with ambassadog.

Our walks are shorter than usual with our mascot off her paws waiting for the all clear from the vet, but in the meantime we have loved seeing your photos and videos of your own adventures and training sessions. Thank you for sharing ☺️
