Day 3 for the big boy yesterday on his Intensive Course (Titan)
Day 3 for the big boy yesterday (Titan)
He done SO SO well yesterday, very chuffed with him, we passed several dogs on our walk (couldnt record some clips due to children being with the parents) but as you can see, he done really well!
Took Titan around Blunsdon yesterday (so just up the road from our visit around Tadpole yesterday - he absolutely aced it!
Focused on closing the gap more, communication and utilising myself to advocate for his emotions!
Sad it’s our last day together for the intensive course (today) but looking forward to seeing what footage we can get and how he gets on!
Day 2 of Titans Intensive Course!!
Day 2 of Titans Intensive Course - what a crackerrr!!
Its a shame we didnt get many videos but we got a good clip from the middle of our walk!
Today we welcomed Titan to Tadpole, can say he was definitely a very popular chap, everyone was full of compliments for him and he done extremely well considering he’s never in the area!
Today we focused on bringing him out of his shell more, socialising him around other dogs in a new area and becoming more confident!
We walked, we distracted, we trusted, and we had a lot of fun with it - no reactions.. he almost looked unbothered by the dogs!!🤓 amazing walk - looking forward to pushing him that step further on tomorrows adventure!
Residential Training Day 2 with Luca (this was from yesterday) 📸
Residential Training Day 2 with Luca (this was from yesterday)
Yesterday we covered more engagement work, and strengthened Luca’s patience thresholds outside, but also focused on the side door (that leads to the front of the house)
Of course Luca absolutely bossed it - the aim for desensiting the door was the principle of ‘hearing outside noise’ and being patient with them, but also to give Luca the guidance of, just because that door is open, it doesnt mean were going out unless i provided our cue.
He done really well yesterday - smashed it like a pro!
Residential Training Day 2 with Nyx! Nyx you are one beautiful girl!
The feeling of being proud doesn’t even cut it - Residential Training Day 2 with Nyx!
Nyx you are one beautiful girl!
Today we were working on turning over a new leaf, desensitising people and improving on Nyxs’ confidence around other dogs too - and she held her head high and done it effortlessly.
We working on a few components today but first things first - the engagement, the trust between Nyx and I, and for her to feel content. This morning was all about relationship building and engagement - just like every morning will be within our Residential Training Programme, and that’s to maximise the chances of seeing such great results when we put her to work in the evening walks.
It’s important to remember that in this video, you have a nervous dog (she’s still nervous at times of course) but felt so emotionally stressed with the outside world when walking out of her comfort zone just under a couple days ago… was reactive to dogs vocally based only on her anxiety (not aggressive but appreciates her space) and is very anxious with new people (including myself at the start of our programme and especially on our first visit saying hello)
I think this video speaks for itself with how she’s getting on - Do you see lunging? Do you see fixation? Do you see reactivity?? The answer is no…
This girl is amazing!
