🌲⛄🐇We would just like to thank everyone for all the support recently with the passing of my father,☃️🐈‍⬛🐀 we are trying our best to get back to helping and providing much needed help for animals and owners and most importantly interacting back into the community weather socially or at parties with our animals,🦎🐍🐌🐢 we look forward to seeing you all soon. ☃️🐈‍⬛🦎With this in mind we would like to wish sonic all the best in his new fantastic 5* home 🏡where he is currently being spoilt rotten and also our lovely ziggy (now sherlock) who is finding his feet in his new home.🏡🦎

⚠️Attention ⚠️

Due to family bereavement powells rescue will not be taking in any rescues and replies to messages may take longer than normal.

We will let you all know when we are fully operational again but as for now we are taking this time to be with loved ones.

Ziggy is looking for a home 🏡

Ziggy is a juvenile spiny tail iguana. He can be quite flighty but this is normal for his age, but with patience and handling he will calm right down and make the perfect family member.

He came to us with a home made set up so that can go with him when he find the right home. Please feel free to message us with any questions.

Could you be wolfs happy ever after?

Wolf is a 11 month old akita, we don't have much history on him so we can only provide information from behaviour in our foster home

He is reactive to other dogs and is reacting to the female in the forster home, however his previous owner was a female so we are unsure on his past and why this is a trigger

He would strongly suit a yard/security dog or a companion for a male owner

🏡 luna is looking for a new home 🏡

Luna is an 8 year old blue, horsehair Shar Pei who has been spayed. Unfortunately she is no longer getting along with the other dog in the house.
Due to her need of being the dominant female she would need a home where she is the only dog and no cats

She is fully housetrained and can be crated (although she does cry) She has never been destructive when left alone or had any dirty protests.

Luna needs to be rehomed with teenagers/adults as hasn't been around young children.

With strangers and new surroundings, Luna can be reserved and aloof. With some bribing of attention and treats she will come round, but will take her time to do this. To those who she has got used to, she is a very pleasant and loving dog. 💜

She will let you bath her and clean her ears, she doesn't enjoy it but she knows her routine and will let you do it as there are always treats afterwards. She is very food driven.

She loves a walk and gets excited when she sees her harness and will hold still for you to put it on, she is very good on lead but isn't let her off due to not being sure what her recall is like. 💜

🐶 Responsible dog ownership initiative (LEAD) goes Gwent-wide.

👮 We're pleased to say that LEAD (Local Environmental Awareness on Dogs) has now been brought to , , and .

LEAD was developed by CCBC in collaboration with Gwent Police, and adopted and launched in Caerphilly County Borough in September 2023.

🚫 UPDATE (I am going to try to keep this as professional as possible and not let emotions over come me)🚫
I'm really sorry to inform you all we were prepared to take the dog on and had a foster home ready for him but unfortunately the owner refused the rescue and help and chose euthanasia. We really are devastated as this didn't need to happen but without owners consent we have no powers.

Some people really do not deserve animals and I do hope the owners see this ‼️

Thanks to everyone that shared the post and the our friend that was willing to foster.
