All users using the Web App can now export CSV / XLS data based on the time selection their on. Example 1 hour will export the last 1 hour of data, 2 days will export 2 days of data 😊

Saw this post on a group today from a member who's had a devastating return home to find his beloved exotic animals in a very bad way with no clue until his return home.

This kind of post is the exact reason why I started this project, peace of mind when I'm away. I can check in when I want and get alerted when something isn't quite right.

I hope one day we can bring our project to the rest of the world to help everyone prevent things like this, for the moment we're UK 🇬🇧 based.

It's times like this when I really appreciate our system! When the weather changes day to day I can monitor my animals especially during the hot spells to know the right time to get the lights off, increase the air flow or add some extra misting!

1 Wireless Hub can read up to 35 Wireless Sensors.

We look forward to bringing more automation / control to our system in the future but this will always be the most important part for me making sure my exotic animals are monitored and when something changes I know asap to get things back on track.

We are currently designing and testing Exo Terra Lid Conversions for 45cm, 60cm & 90cm vivariums.

We are designing:

3x Built in fan designs for airflow / clearing humidity build up on the front glass for those high humidity vivariums. One of which is pictured below with very small holes on the underneath (small enough fruit flies can't get through).

The open designs allow for mesh to be placed inside then these pressed on top to stop escapees.

Plugs to cover unwanted bulk head holes and you'll be able to pick and choose which inserts you want in the frames depending how you want to design your enclosure.

We will post more previews of the designs when possible 😊

A beautiful Green Keel-Bellied Lizard, (Gastropholis Prasina) that one of our clients have! 🦎

These should ideally be kept around 21-26°C with a basking spot at around 32°C. 🌡

They also love high humidity between 60-80%. 💧

Making sure the right conditions are met for your exotic animals is vital to good health and well-being.

Using our monitoring system 🔳 is definitely a great way to remotely check conditions and be ⚠️ alerted 📢 if something isn't quite right!

We will very soon be supplying wired probe systems for the basking spots too link into our dashboards!

Here's a sneak preview of our upcoming wired system!

This wired system is designed to have up to 8 wired temperature sensors for environmental temperature monitoring such as basking spots.

Plus 2 non contact water sensors for monitoring 2 water levels such as low and half full for water reservoir or two separate water levels such as aquarium fish tanks.

We are designing the cases to be stackable if you require more sensors than one can offer with a WiFi LED indicator on the front.

Oh and of course connects to our MyExotics Dashboard for Remote Monitoring!

Here is a demo of how to connect your MyExotics Dashboard Account to our Telegram Bot.

This is mainly for IOS users until our App is ready but others may find handy too!

If you find your notifications aren't getting pushed to you make sure the chat isn't muted. Some pictures attached to show to change. Make sure no 🔇 image is next to the bots name.

Morning all, some quick updates.

We have improved our Web App for mobile devices improving the graph display mainly for IOS users whilst the APP is in development.

We have also successfully incorporated our Telegram Bot into our system, so very soon you'll be able to login to your account through Telegram to recieve push notifications/ alerts. This can be used for IOS and Android users if preferred.

You would setup your dashboard like normal, set the thresholds and if the criteria met would publish to Telegram which you can control push notifications on.

We also aim to have Email notifications setup soon, giving you the option of how you would prefer to recieve an alert.

We also have some more stock arrive yesterday so the 40M Kit is available to order from the shop and once I've setup the packages they will be shipped out!

Hey all, we have now sold out of the 40M Range Kits, these are now on backorder. You can still purchase through the website but first come first served for the next batch.

Currently have 5x 10M Range left, as long as all your vivs / sensors are within 10M distance of the Hub and the Hub has Wi-Fi connection these are just as good and £4 cheaper. Thanks all for support as ever.

We will hopefully have the wired kit redesigned and available soon for basking spots / environmental temperature monitoring rather than just air 😁

Find the frog! 🐸

Meet Chubb Chubb, my first Dart Frog (Azurues)

He is what got me into all of this! Starting out in 2018 with one vivarium, now housing 4 species of Dart Frogs! Myself like many others find these exotic animals so addictive and great to watch! I find the whole hobby of exotic animals fascinating and wish I got into it sooner!

I'm James, a remote working engineer and when I'm out I like to know Chubb Chubb is alright especially when the hot summer hits so I can remotely check or get alerts ⚠️ if things aren't quite right... I use jungle dawn led bars.. Great in winter but in summer can get a little hot so I like to turn them off when I get an alert things are getting too warm..

I also run cooling fans on a smart plug to help add cooler or at least pump out some heat from the vivs!

We're trying to work on all situations at www.MyExotics.co.uk .. I like the other community members involved in this project know how important our exotic pets are!

We're not a big company with loads of money, we're trying to do everything at a reasonable cost covering the services required for the hobbyists. Everyone's input taken on board, everyone's different needs catered to, different animals require different things!

We want you to get in touch if you can help or have any ideas 💡 we can work with to help you which may help others!

New Wireless Sensor Bracket with Suction Pads, custom designed to work with the Wireless Sensors we use for our monitoring system.

Now able to stick to glass or flat surfaces front or back to view the display if needed and still has holes for screwed fittings into wood or foam.

Painting a batch of Wireless Sensors yesterday.

This moisture protection helps stop high humidity environments like Dart Frog enclosures from damaging the internal electronics to help prolong life in this type of vivarium.

Since starting this project, I have only lost 1 sensor and this was before applying this coating to the electronics. Since then no failures!

I have had to replace a couple of batteries in the near approaching 12 month mark we have been running them with some still going strong on their original battery which is a great sign to see.

Obviously we don't recommend getting these sprayed directly, if you ever accidentally get one too wet we recommend placing in rice or an airing cupboard to dry out fully.

As we develop and advance our system to bring new features to make the user journey easier we also encounter new bugs as we test. Our latest bug takes weeks to fix and monitor so apologies for lack of news recently, we are still working hard behind the scenes.

We are excited to announce another sensor integration into our system with our next patch coming soon. We will soon be selling these sensors and if you own one of these sensors already then all you'll need is one of our hubs to be able to remotely see the temperature and humidity on our app!

Happy new year to our followers.

Apologies for being a little quite this end, lots going on behind the scenes. We have now submitted our Android app for approval, so should be on the play store any day now hopefully.

We decided to setup a GoFundMe to help raise some vital funds to support the development and growth of MyExotics, our aim is to use this money across various business activities such as developing our own hardware, fees and compliance and more explained on the page itself.

Today we have successfully stress tested our Wireless Hubs, able to cope with reading up to 39 Wireless sensors! The hubs run on 5v usb power and at max load uses 0.020 amps. To use 1kW of energy it would take approximately 416 days. 1kW of energy typically costs a UK customer 16p.

We also have now successfully intergrated Smart Plugs into our system and will be developing these to use alongside the other products and hope to be able to setup smart scenes.
