Basil is a gorgeous pointer cross pup currently in Cyprus who will be travelling to his forever home in the UK shortly.

Hi everyone

Mum has been a bad dog mum, she forgot to post that it was my sister's Kali 3rd Gotcha day, where has the time gone. She's still a pesky little sister, but we love each other a lot (don't tell her I said that 😉) photos below of said pain.

It's been awhile since I last wrote. It's been hectic.
I'm not sure if I told you I've now been diagnosed with a slipped disc as well as having my lumbarsacral disease, I'm managing on painkillers at the moment, but think an expensive op is in the future.

I did go for a lovely visit the other day to see Winston, who's another RCP/AA rescue he's very shy and a bit nervous but a nice happy chap, we will go back to see him soon.

Anyway must get back to Christmas prep. Take care all.

Hi everyone
OMG, me and Kali are sooo tired. We've just come back from our hols, it was fantastic.

We had so much fun, we went to the fields on site, it had 2 ponds, bushes and undergrowth which I liked to mooch around in and Kali lost her head as she always thinks she finds something but doesn't haha!!

We also went to a lovely beach in Norfolk it was so sandy, good for my old back and we also went into the sea.

We had a BBQ too, where we were spoilt with lovely sausages.

Mum and Auntie Kirsty went in the giant bubbly bath a few nights, didn't like the look of that though.

Back home now with loads of happy memories, time for a snooze now travelling is a tiring business.

Thanks to the lovely people Holidays With My Dogs that make it special for both dogs and humans. ❤️

🥳🥳HAPPY 5TH GOTCHA DAY TO ME 🥳 🥳

Where has the time gone 5 years ago today I arrived at my forever home.

I'm so loved and cared I'm so pleased Auntie Lena and Auntie Janice let me come here I've had a blast. Loads of fun, holidays and even got a pain of a little sister. Thank you Apollos Angels.

I've had to slow down a bit as I have a dodgy back and waiting for a CT scan on my spine to see if I have to have an op. Despite this I'm a very happy and stoic boy and everyone loves me. I still love a cafe for a sausage roll ♥️.

So today, is my 5th passport birthday, happy birthday to me.

This year I've done loads, campervan holidays, shepherds hut hols and the amazing doggy holiday place in Ely, loved that one (so did Mum).

I've also had many an epidural for my poor old back, which is helping lots. I've got very noise sensitive over the year and have been a bit of a challenge, but am getting better slowly.

Although she's a pain in the bum, I love my sister Kali, we've had a lot of fun and plays and when I haven't been all that she gives me licks and snuggles.

Looking forward to a special dinner today.

Hi all, Basil here.
So I had my epidural for my poorly back yesterday so now I'm sporting my bald back look again.

I was a bit noisy after the sedation. Apparently I was doing an impression of a wolf along with some yodelling. I'm going to be the next big thing, although my mum and dad didn't think so. I've got to have another epidural in a couple of weeks time and perhaps another one 3 weeks later.

Today I'm feeling better in myself and wanting lots of food, how dare they starve me for a morning.

Mum and Kali have had a few frosty walks without me, quite jealous.

Hi everyone
Hope everyone is well.

Kali and I have been sooo lucky this week. We went to a fantastic place near Ely called Holidays With My Dogs for a few days and they catered for us and of course mum and dad and Aunty Kirsty
It had everything a dog could ask for, bowls, towels, poo bags, shampoo etc and even some scummy natural treats and a cookie to share. The hoomans had a hamper too which was good for them, we didn't want to be the only spoilt ones.

It also had 2 amazing fields which had ponds, trees, obstacles and hedgerows, mum loved it as it meant Kali could come off lead the whole time. She can be a bit nervous around some other dogs so has to be on long lines a lot or short leads. She's also a bit of a puller too. Kali nearly always had a teenage strop when we got back to the cottage as she wanted to mouse by the pond a lot of the time.

We always went back tired out and just slept all night.

We're home now, I think we may have overdone it, going to have to take it easy the next few weeks as I have to have another epidural on the 7th Feb for my back.

Hi Everyone
It's been a long time since I posted we've been very busy.
I had to post today as it's my sister's 2nd Gotcha day. Can't believe Kali (was Hope) has been here for that long, she's a pain in the bum, but we both loves each other lots.
Quick update from me my epidural has worked well and vets happy with my dodgy back, it's not going to get better but I'm not in any pain.
We've been in the camper a few times this year and we both love it and soon we are going to stay near Cambridge where there's a fields for us to play in and some chill time for mum and dad.

Happy Gotcha day to me. It's been a whole 4 years I've been here now and it's been a blast.
Thanks as always to Aunty Lena and Aunty Janice, for getting me and sister Kali and all the other dogs lovely new homes.

Evening all!

Not sure what happened today, but ended up with a shaved back/bum and a blooming great dressing and wobbly legs.

Apparently I had an epidural for my poor old back at the V E T!!! Not keen especially as mum and dad left me.

All home now, been snoozing and making funny noises. Mum was worried about Kali as she does love a bonkers play, but she's been at my side since I've been home.

Hoping the steroid injection works so we don't have to go back 🤞

Hi everyone, it's been a while since I've posted, I've had a few things going on:-
- we went to Somerset in the campervan for a week and had a fab time, we had lovely walks and tried out a couple of secure dog fields which were amazing. We had outside BBQs too, Kali wasn't sure about the BBQ though.
- I've been diagnosed with Lumbosacral disease and started hydrotherapy, I'm not great on the hydro treadmill but slowly getting there with it.
- because of my back I've got to take it steady so no jumping and running around so Kali and I have had separate walks as she's bonkers, but do go to dog fields as I can mooch around.
- I had a check up with the vet and I'm still struggling with my back so he upped some meds, unfortunately it upset my tum so had to come off them, so now I've got to have an epidural this week.
- although Kali and I are from Cyprus we are not keen on the hot weather, so I've commandeered the fan on several occasions.

Mum says I've been a big brave boy through this and even Kali is keeping an eye on me, coming back to check if I'm ok. She's alright for an irritating little sister 😉.

Happy Friday all!

We've been on holiday this week, we had soo much fun.
We went in March and loved it so much we went back again hoping for warmer weather. It was warmer but a couple of days a bit wet.
Kali, I and the hoomans had our lovely private lake to gaze over, watching the ducks, geese and heron. We also had fab walks all around and there was lovely meadow grass for lots of zoomies.
We got a bit hot 🥵 the first day so had our cooling bandanas on and hid under the shepherds hut to keep cool. We had a mini do**he around the shallow bit of the lake too.
We weren't brave enough to go on the paddle board or the rowing boat, but did enjoy watching auntie Kirsty on the paddle board and mum and dad falling out the rowing boat 😂😂.
There is a firepit there with a lovely store for wood, where Kali and I searched for mices for ages 🐁.
We met the farm donkeys 🫏 too, one liked me a lot we rubbed noses, Kali wasn't sure and just wanted to find the mice.
We are big fans of the sun loungers often beating the hoomans to them in the morning, we loved just watching the birds and fish 🐟🐟 jumping in the water.
On the wet day we went to a garden centre not Kali's favourite but she did very well.
On the last day Kali did her meerkat stance as she does when deer 🦌 are about and we tried to chase it unfortunately we were both on long lines and had hoomans attached so no luck.
Anyway back now and soon tired after our time away, we're snoozing in the sun.
Holidays are very,very tiring.
