It’s a miserable start to the the day but I was delighted when out on my own walk to bump into not 1️⃣ but 2️⃣ clients taking seriously. It can be cold, wet and frankly horrible walking when the weather is bad but when you have them behaving like this you know it’s all worthwhile.

Such a beautiful start this morning. Out with our own dogs to watch the sun come up after last night’s We always try and take the time to engage with the dogs, little bursts of intermittent training but mostly on days like today we let them enjoy the morning, off the leash doing things.

Just finished a 6 week programme with this handsome fella. He was a bit noisy with some people and some dogs when he was being walked and sometime just when he was in the garden. We designed a holistic programme for him which settled his nerves, gave him space to relax and more importantly gave his owners/parents/family the confidence to handle his ‘odd moments’. Two parts to every programme, behaviour management and behaviour adjustment. Love the results!

are playful creatures - even when the ‘know’ they have to get back in the car after a woodland walk! Rolling in the mud isn’t generally a sign of a behavioural issue or problem, often it’s just for fun or to simply cool off! Enjoy it, they’re only young once!

Three stages of training; adult, adolescent & puppy. Our central tenets remain as always, exercise, consistent direction & love. Do those thing in that order in equal measure and you’ll have happy, calm and confident dogs. What more could you ask?

What a brilliant day yesterday hosting the final of the Beta Dogs sponsored Bucks Summer Blast T20 tournament. ran out deserving winners against in an entertaining match. We look forward to continuing our association with these three great cricket clubs and of course through sponsorship of the trophy over the next couple of years.

We’re huge fans of cricket here .dogs.uk and we’re delighted to be supporting this evening with their ‘Under v Overs’ match & barbecue this evening. They’re raising much needed funds for the cancer charity in the name of our late Chairman and friend Luke Rickett. On Sunday it’s the inaugural final of the Beta Dogs Bucks Blast T20 Cup. The ground is in superb condition and the weather is set - why not get yourself along to HGCC and watch some great cricket? Thanks of course must go to all the volunteers who turn out every day to make these things happen.

Great to sign off a super family who’ve done a super job with this little . New to dog ownership these guys really bought into our leadership programme and have a wonderfully obedient, responsive, happy and balanced little dog. Such great fun!

They grow up so fast! Kenna has been with us a couple of weeks now and is learning so fast! We’re not taking her to crufts but we do want her to be balanced, confident and responsive to instruction. She recalls off leash even away from distraction and will wait for permission to eat her supper even when super hungry. We think she’s going to be great!

Tilly went swimming today. Isn’t she adorable!? Tilly is just a few months old, can be excitable and is prone to jumping up when she meets new people… not always desirable when wet and muddy 🤦‍♂️ Tilly was perfect today and walked nicely to heel off the leash (when properly motivated). We’ve some work to do but she is learning fast!

Meet Cookie! Cookie has finally found her forever home after having four false starts in 6 years. This may’ve been the first time she’s ever been off the leash and she had an absolute ball! Cookie new Mum is determined that she should enjoyed ‘Act 2’ of her life and has been working with Beta Dogs for a few weeks and we reckon she’s right of track!

We don’t post often enough but every now and again we have moments that just have to be captured!
Meet Bella, she’s a rescue from the continent and has had a tough life. She’s found her forever home here in the UK but has sometimes struggled to cope with high energy stimuli when out on a walk. Now though she, and importantly Team Bella, are working a leadership programme and she is calmer, more confident and frankly loving life!
