Lottie here, with her steel focus on the ball, is a Maltese, Bichon Frise cross. She started her life on the streets of Romania, and came over here to UK and found a caring new family.
Lottie is her family's first dog, and being being a former street dog, we were brought in to help everyone adjust to their environment. Teaching her new family what Lottie needs in the way of benign leadership, as well as helping Lottie with her understable nervousness about being in a new place.
We were helping with her walking and recall when we had an unexpected helper! The brown fur ball is Casper, who decided to help with socialisation when his owners let him off the lead.
Luckily we're used to adapting and it was great to see the progress that Lottie and her new family made.

We were called in recently to help a lovely young family who had added a young Ivan, who is a Croatian hunting dog.
Ivan's new family have 2 young twins, a very grumpy Apollo and are currently moving house. As you would imagine there is a lot going on, so bringing in a new rescue dog was a brave choice!
We were brought in to help Ivan transition from the streets to a family home. After a 3 hour session, we were able help Ivan walk better on the lead and get him to listen when the excitement was getting too much. We're really happy with the progress Ivan made and he's found a wonderful new family!

Ivan is a hunting dog, so has a huge amount of energy. He's bread to be a working dog, so will always be looking for something to focus on. For most working dogs, when they have nothing to do or no attention, boredom sets in and chaos will often occur!
When you're looking for a new family member, you should always consider your situation and find a dog that would match that

Meet Winston, a confident young Cavalier King Charles puppy. Who happens to also be incredibly handsome!
He's joined a large and very active family. They've been working very well with him and made some great progress. We were able to come in and help them put all their great work in a package and give them the final ingredient to give Winston a happy home.
When giving Winston commands, the family were missing consistency with them. To make it easier for him to understand, everyone need to be saying, and showing Winston the same commands.

🐕🐶 Meet Finzi, he's a very handsome 14 month old black Lab.
Like all youngsters, he's been pushing the limits and testing the leadership of his two legged mum. Whilst playing with another dog, Finzi knocked her over and injured her leg.
At this point, we were called in to help Finzi get back to basics and get him listening again! We're happy to say that he was able to pick it up straught away and get their relationship back on track!

🐕🐶 We recently had a short visit from one of our favourite clients, Max the Collie, and as punishment for his visit, we took him to the In-laws, and you can see the joy on his face when he was told!
Luckily we had a ball with us to keep him entertained, and you can see the focus and determination on his face as he goes to grab it out of the air.

🐕🐶 Meet Milo, he's pretty pleased with himself after enjoying a great walking and recall session with us! Now, recalling your dog isn't going to be instinctive for them. It takes practise and patience until it becomes automatic for them to come running when you call.
This is beautifully demonstrated in the second picture, as we have Milo going full tilt towards his very happy owners!
What you will notice is that we're using a long lead here, wielded perfectly by Sam, who's just out of shot. The long lead gives her the ability to guide Milo if he starts to veer off course, or gets distracted. So we always make sure we take a long lead with us!

We've been incredibly busy over the last few months, so we've got plenty of amazing dogs that we've been working with to share with you all! 🐶🐕👍🏻
Let's start with this handsome fella, Bugzy! The arrival of a bouncing baby in the family caused a lot of disruption to his pack.
When you've got a new baby, most parents will take any and all help they can get. However, Bugzy isn't brilliant at nappy changes, so we were called in to help him understand that even though he has many talents, helping with the baby was not one of them, and he could now concentrate on his own jobs.

We had a recent trip down to Essex to help out this lovely lady change the dynamic of her relationship with her beautiful dog called Lilah.
Lilah looks like a small horse, but she is in fact a Great Dane, so when she wants to go somewhere on a walk, she would tend to get her way! We came down to help Lilah pay attention when out for a stroll around other dogs.
Luckily we have an expert in the DogsInsight family, who's more then happy to step in and assist us, and with Pasha's help we were able to make great progress!

🐶🐕 Nell here is a beautiful young Patterdale Terrier. Her family were struggling with recalling her and decided to call us In to help.
We had a great training session with Nell and her humans, teaching them the fundamentals of recall. Hopefully the tools we've given them will help further the bond between them.

🐶 Dorie, 🐶 Bodie and 🐶 Penn. 2 Cockerpoos and a Yorkshire Terrier. We were asked to help these 3 pay a bit more attention to the two legged members of the pack and stop the excited jumping up.
Something these 3 clever dogs were more than happy to take on board! In their defence they had only moved in together a year ago, there was lots of building work going on and Covid had impacted on the family as it has everyone.

They needed to understand their place in the new pack and wanted consistent guidance from their humans. Dogs feel our stress and share our highs and lows. It is important that we humans remember that and make allowances and adjustment in order to reduce their stress levels. Otherwise, you will see changes in the behaviour, usually for the worse.

🐶🐶 The first picture shows Pasha and Freddie's patience wearing thin, questioning whether the pig's ear is worth it... the second picture shows us why..
Mike is trying out the latest version of his 3 hour presentation on 'Roadsmarts - Ron Haslm likes them you know!' Unfortunately for Mike it looks like his captive audience aren't fans!
Dogs aren't big fans of presentations, but love mental stimulation. Even for two old dogs like Pasha and Freddie, who like to complain about, "puppies these days", they will still work for a treat or some well deserved fuss! And since they've survived 5 minutes of Mike's presentation, (4 minutes longer then anyone else), they've earned that pig's ear! 🐕

🐕🐶 Over the past few weeks we've been putting our fitness to the test with these two beautiful Dobermamms, meet Ralph and Ruby!
Ralph is 5 and Ruby is 3, and when we first visited these two. They'd never had a walk around their local area. In his younger years, Ralph had several operations on his leg, which meant he missed out on a lot of socialising. Because of this, he's a very excited 45kg pulling machine! 🐕🐕🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♀️
Over the past few weeks, we've been working hard on bringing Ralph and Ruby's excitement under control. We love tackling different challenges and we're so happy to see the progress that they've both made.

These two beautiful Collies are Father and Son, Max and Rocky. 🐶 We love to see a happy family at Dogs Insight, and by the end of our session, we were over the moon to see these two enjoying a rare walk together. 🐕🐕
We were brought in to help with Max's reactiveness to vehicles, which was making it very difficult to give him a good walk, let one with Rocky in tow.
We know we've done our job right, when we see the 2 legged members of the family overjoyed to see a de-stressed Max playing so well with Rocky! The benefits for the two of them walking together, mean that Rocky is able to learn from the wiser, more experienced, better looking Max. Just like our family really.... except for the wiser part, and the better looking part.. but other then those two, identical.

Bella here is part Mastiff and part Rottweiler, so she has the beauty and grace of both breeds.. as long as she's standing still.. 🐕🐶
One thing that we can be certain of though, Bella is a very intelligent girl! After a recent session, we were amazed at how quick she picked up her long lead training.
It's never too soon to introduce a young dog to the sound of a whistle, and the expected response to said whistle. A long lead is a must, as it gives you the control and your dog the freedom.

📣👇🏼 Top Training Tip Below 👇🏼📣
Sasha is a beautiful 5 month old German Shepherd, and as you can see, she is having a blast running around with another friendly pooch! Her owners were worried how she would act with other dogs, but Sasha just wants to run around and play! 🐶
Having a long training lead has given Sasha's owner the confidence to allow her to run and play. A longer lead gives you much more control then an extender lead, which doesn't give the same feel and control. Socialisation is a very important part of any dogs development as well as helping with the owners confidence around other dogs.

Hank the Bulldog cross had decided that enough was enough.. he couldn't listen to Mike talk about his favourite motorcycle tyres any longer and decided to make a break for it! We don't blame you Hank, most of us have the same reaction.

🐶 This beautiful boy is Frank, Frank is a Beagle and if we could describe Frank's personality in one Emoji it would be '😤'.
Frank is a very intelligent and determined Beagle who was really putting us through our paces! Thankfully we came out on top and we've been able to get through to him and improve his life with his family. 👍🏻🐕
Time for some more cheesy clichés, but we love training a dog like Frank, because what doesn't kill you makes you stronger! We had to really think outside the box and give it 110%!

Here we have Rocco and Ronnie, both beautiful Bulldogs. Rocco is introducing his new younger brother to play time, and Ronnie wants to make sure that the camera gets his best side! 🐶
Their 2 legged parents were worried that Rocco would hurt his new younger brother and were very reluctant to allow them to mix freely. After we explained that it could lead to problems down the line, as Rocco would get frustrated at not being able to check out this new dog in his territory, they let them play and start to create a bond.

🐶🐕 Meet the Lovely Luna, a Malinois Cross (not sure what with).
There are some days that are tougher then others in the dog training world, but visiting Luna is definitely not one of those days.
She's an incredibly intelligent girl who has a very mischievous personality. In this session we were introducing her humans to some advanced lead training. There was a lot of running around and fun! Training doesn't always have to be hard work!
We're looking forward to another fun training session with Luna!

🐕 First post of the New Year, and it's a tiny one.. a Teacup Chihuahua to be precise. 🐶
Meet Booboo, possibly one of the smallest dogs we've ever had the pleasure of visiting. We were called in by her family to help with one of their other dogs, who had been showing aggression.
After a quick conversation with the family and some observation, we were able to determine the problem, it was a case of not following one of the golden rules, . Booboo was being carried around in a handbag.
As a result, Booboo was given height and authority and not allowed to become part of the pack. This causes frustration in the other dogs, which can look like aggression. They can smell another dog, but can't investigate! It's like smelling freshly baked cookies, but not being able to get at them, very frustrating!
After explaining the problem, the family was amazed at how the other dogs bonded with Booboo and almost instantly started playing! We left some very happy dogs, which is what we aim to do.

Our handsome boy Pasha, he's getting on abit now, 10 years old in fact! He's getting a bit more grumpy, stubborn and obstinate, (unless food is involved of course)... who said dogs take after their owners.. clearly they have no idea

⚠️ 📣 Another cute puppy alert! ⚠️
Hugo here is a 9 week old American Bulldog, with a face like butter wouldn't melt!
He's a very intelligent boy and like all new puppies, needs structure and to know where his place is in the family.
We were brought in to help teach Hugo some of the basics of being part of the family and he picked it up straight away!

At 10 weeks old Albie is currently working on his poses for 'cute puppy weekly' and we feel like he's almost ready for the front cover!
His family called us in to help with some basic training and he picked it up straight away. Albie is definitely more then a cute face!

Percy the Pug hasn't quite mastered how to camouflage himself against the floor, but this wasn't the reason for his family to call us in!
Percy has a worrying habit of making an unexpected dash out the front door and straight onto the road! As you can imagine, this is quite stressful for his 2 legged family members!
We had to sit Percy down, and we're happy to report that he was listening and and with the help of his 2 legged family, his desire to dash out the door is being addressed!

Something that we're very proud of here at DogsInsight, is our involvement with charities and organisations that help animals and especially dogs. We work with the excellent charities such as the Cinnamon Trust and Dogue De Bordeaux Rehome and rescue.
Mid leap, we have Gypsy. She's a beautiful young Dogue De Bordeaux. We were asked to assess her as part of a reluctant rehomeing process. She's a wonderful, intelligent girl, who we couldn't praise enough. The glowing report we were able to put forward for her has helped her find a brand new loving home!

We had the pleasure of visiting another bundle of fur recently. This happy little girl is Elsie May, caught mid action shot showing off her new skills!
We were called in to help with her bossy behaviour and selective hearing while walking. We made the training as fun as possible for her, so she was eager to learn more!
We're looking forward to seeing her again and seeing if she's been doing her homework!
