This cute little loaf of bread is Ruby! You don’t see too many Shiba Inu’s in Leeds so it was so nice to work with her. Ruby has been having worries around food time, and had been showing resource guarding behaviours. She also was taking her role of mini guard dog very seriously and was spending a lot of her day barking at the window.

We made a plan of action and luckily for her she has super dedicated guardians who have gone above and beyond to ease her worries and make her feel more comfortable at home. And most importantly get more rest and chill out time.

In todays session we went for a walk to chat about her dog selectivity and how to handle dog interactions so Ruby always feels safe and in control of the situation.

This little goof is Willow (don’t be fooled by that little puppy face, she’s actually 3!), I first met Willow when she was having some recall issues. She thought chasing birds and running off was the best fun ever… her parents didn’t think so. After working super hard, willows recall from birds is now fantastic 👏 and she’s been so good at listening and recalling.

Our second session we worked on her dog selectivity, Willow did fantastically. We chatted about body language, threshold, trigger stacking and all things reactivity.
