Fantastic day at Lockskinners! 🐴

A little wet to start but the weather definitely cheered up by the end of the day.

Arena Eventing Clinic - 2nd March 🐴

Clinic is being held at Lockskinners Equestrian

All abilities welcome from poles on the floor up to jumping a full course of mixed fences. Working on gaining confidence!

Please pm to book in with requested height and I will allocate groups accordingly.

Also happy to run private sessions for anyone wanting to go solo.

Today certainly felt like Christmas 🎄 Our new Custom made jump saddle came. It has exceeded all expectations… the quality, the comfort and most importantly the fit were second to none. A massive thank you to Jane who has not only gone out of her way to fit me in but has made the whole process very exciting. From designing to the finished product she has really helped to make sure Juno’s comfort has been priority. Roll on 2024 in our Bay Saddlery Ltd jump saddle 😀😀 Thank you Jane for supporting us🐴 🎅 🎄

Yesterday we had a very exciting visit from Bay Saddlery Ltd.

We tried one of their beautiful jump saddles on Juno and I honestly couldn’t believe how much freedom she had on the flat and over a jump. Jane was not only super professional and helpful but she thoroughly explained the reasoning behind her saddles.
She not only helped me but also a few of the girls at our yard and I think we could all agree we are totally in love with how the saddles fitted and look!

Thank you Jane Randall for spending all afternoon going through through the design and fit of our saddles. You are so knowledgeable and easy to deal with.

Daniella and Ace working beautifully in their lesson on Saturday. I have been working with this pair for a little while now. Ace is a very big horse with a lot of power and movement and we have very slowly been working on him using his size and energy in a more positive way. We have been using pole work to really get Ace thinking and using his body correctly……Don’t they look great! 🐴🐴

I still have a few slots available for new clients. I really like to pride myself on helping riders build confidence and a partnership between themselves and their horses. 💪💪

I’m a stage 2 accredited coach with 5 years experience teaching children in a riding school and helping adults to build partnership and confidence with their horses. I have facilities at my yard with jumps but equally cover Maidstone/ Tunbridge wellls/ Ashford areas. 🏡

Has your saddle ever just started slipping…?

Well, in very many cases seen, the first sighs of hind leg lameness show up as saddle slip!
Even in cases where lameness is subtle or undetected

I have had incidences where I have suggested a vet is called to check out the horse and lameness has been undetected, but in-time it has been picked up, so vets, osteopaths, Chiropractors and Physio’s and farriers are important to work with as a team.

Research into this has actually been conducted by The Animal Health Trust.

However the rider will usually lay blame on the saddle…!

So if this has or happens to you please don’t automatically assume it’s the saddle causing the problem. Do get your saddle checked, but a Vet inspection is important

Very excited to now be offering private and small group lessons!

I currently have a few spaces to take on new clients, in both flat work and jumping lessons. I have experience teaching all types of riders, from beginners to experienced.

I am based in Kent and willing to travel. I also have a school with show jumps so can offer lessons at my yard too.

I have my Stage 2 Coach qualification and am fully insured and first aid trained.

Great few days at Weston lawns a few weeks back. Juno was fab picking up two top ten placings! Excited to step her up now and get out and about again over the next few weeks 🐎

Very busy few weeks at home, welcoming Avi, Olaf and Dandy the new liveries and getting everything ready for summer🌞
