My love of dogs (and my spaniel Griffin) is what inspired me to initially set up Belvoir Paws and Claws. I now have two gorgeous rescues, Cloro (a Brittany from Spain) and Hazel, a working cocker spaniel. My passion for positive dog training and understanding the behaviour of our canine 'best friends' led me to increase my knowledge and study extensively within this area. I am an Accredited Dog Tr

ainer with the IMDT and OCN Accredited Principles of Dog Training and Behaviour. I am currently studying Canine Behaviour to Level 6 (degree equivalent). Our next ‘Beginners mini loose lead workshop’ will be held on Saturday 2nd November. We will cover all the basics such as handling skills, equipment and fun exercises to make lead walking more enjoyable for both yourself and your dog.
This is the first of our three workshops in this series;

Our Cotgrave course is fully booked but we still have space on our Whatton course on 26th October.
Gundog training is not just for working dogs! This Pet Gundog Course is aimed at pet dogs. It teaches general obedience such as loose lead walking, heelwork, ignoring distractions and focus on handler when outdoors. We do also cover retrieves and the use of a whistle. This course is taught in a fun, positive and force-free style. There is no pressure on you, and no pressure on your dog. It’s more about building your relationship with your dog in an outdoor, distracting environment.
