Now that the aggression is behind us, it's time to focus on obedience—especially in the home. One of Rufus’ goals was to learn how to stay in a designated area and relax there. So we got creative and used a towel to mark his spot.
Even without an elevated bed, Rufus learned to recognise the towel by the change in texture beneath him. This can be a tough concept for dogs to grasp, but here’s the amazing part: Rufus voluntarily walks over to the towel and lays down to sleep—no command, no treat, just his own choice.
This is a massive moment. It shows that Rufus is not only learning during our sessions, but applying that training throughout the week. His owners were over the moon. 🐾
