This morning we have been out teaching canicross again & beginning the couch to 5km training for Team Finch. This lovely team wanted a way to be active together as a part of some healthy lifestyle changes. πͺπΌππΎ We will be working with them over the next few weeks to help them reach their goal. πππΌβ°οΈ

This beautiful boy is Ottis. π₯° (Don't tell Fynn but I loved him!! π€«) His human had tried bikejoring with him a few times but super excited Ottis not quite understanding his job would redirect his excitement to collie nipping. So they came along today to have a go at dog scootering, learn some of the basics, help Ottis understand his role & find the best way of managing his excitement. Ottis was a natural & very quickly picked up what he had to do, clever boy! ππΎππ΄πΌ

This beautiful sensitive big boy is Jack. ππ Jack likes to stay by mum & keep her safe, which is lovely but his human would like to build his confidence by giving him a job, a new focus & something they could enjoy together. So they came to see if Canicross & Canitrek might be the thing they are looking for. ππΌπΎ Jack was tentative at first to be away from his humans side but with some gentle encouragement & him wearing a different harness etc so that he can learn to distinguish when he is in work mode ( ok to pull ) he started to get the hang of it. ππΎπ

Barkour Club this afternoon saw all the teams working on lots of different dog parkour UK skills. 2 teams finished off their pumpkin challenge, then we worked on challenge level 1, natural level 1 plus level 2 skills of balance & gap jumps!! It was a very busy session learning wise & gave some of these nervous or reactive dogs a chance to practice & participate in a controlled & safe environment πππΌπΎ super proud of you Teams!! πͺπΌ Amazing work Team Arlo, Team Nova, Team Gwen, Team Stanley & Team Snoopy. π₯°

This clever boy is Iggy! π₯° He brought his human today to learn all about Barkour & how they can use dog parkour UK behaviours to make their walks & time together more interesting for both of them. πΎππΌ Iggy is a reactive dog so they were both happy to find something that they can get involved in together. π Their first Barkour Club session is free for them to continue their journey & we can't wait to see how they do! π

This is Finch. π This beautiful girl brought her human to come see me as they wanted to learn to spend some time together biking but in a way that made them a team!! πͺπΌπΎ She wasn't a natural puller due the super loose lead training she had but with a furry lure to chase she soon got the hand of it. & because she will wear a working harness to bikejor she will learn to understand the difference between walking nicely & pulling work mode!! π

Reggie & Ace had such a pawsome time last week on the Dog SUP session that they returned today to learn all about bikejoring. π I had a feeling that they would be amazing & I wasn't wrong!! These guys flew! πͺπΌπΎ Both teams left having learnt how to continue their bikejoring journey safely so it will be enjoyable for all of them.
