Really special morning today whilst out walking the dogs. Normally sightings of the deer are fleeting as they are dashing through the trees but today I got 2 opportunities to watch these two beautiful stags! 😍🦌when I saw them with Fynn I didn't continue along the track that would have taken us within a few metres of them. Fynn would of lost his mind & dragged me through the forest, bracken & brambles until my corpse became too much of an annoyance trawling behind him that he may of considered stopping. 🤣🫣 #deer #stag #lovewhereyoulive

More mantrailing training today & lots of learning & progression from our teams. 😁🐾 Some of the teams learnt how to negotiate gates whilst trailing, progressing to different starts or tackling multiple junctions. As always the dogs amazed us by how clever they are at using their nose!! This beautiful lady brought her human along this afternoon for a 1:2:1 introduction to mantrailing. Mabel was an absolute natural at this game & the human on the end of the longline was super happy that they were correct in their assumptions that she would love it! 🥰😍👍🏼 They both finished the session with smiles on their faces & Mabel struggling to stay awake! 😉💪🏼🐾 Mantrailing is an awesome way to tire out high energy dogs as it works their brain, leaving you with a chilled out & happy dog! We started Sunday off with our Barkour Club. The sickness bugs going around got the better of some of our other normal attendees but the teams that could make it worked hard. Our puppy team were working on their Dog Parkour UK Level 0 that focuses on building confidence in puppies with different textures. Our other 2 teams were continuing to perfect some of their level 2 moves to assessment level & learn some new level 3 behaviours. Some amazing trailing skills this morning from our teams in a really interesting trailing environment. We were working below & next to the A465 & the river Neath so these were influencing what was happening with their hidden persons scent. Our teams skills are all progressing nicely whether that's recognising what's old & what is new scent & following the correct one, for our nervous dogs realising that the game is safe & people can be approached or continuing to build solid foundations for our puppy team.
