💉We are looking for dog blood donors! 💉

Did you know, dogs also have blood types too? 😱

However, they only come in 2 types, negative and positive. Unlike humans who can have type A, B or O.

We currently need negative blood donors who are healthy, between the ages of 1-8 years old and over 25KG in weight.

These are the breeds that are most likely to be negative:

Airedale
American bulldog
Basset hound
Bearded/border collie
Boxer
Doberman
English bull terrier
Flat coat retriever
German shepherd
Greyhound
Lurcher
Saluki
Old English sheep dog
Weimaraner

Dogs with negative blood are universal donors! Could your dog save a life?🥹
We kindly ask that if you have these breeds, or know anyone that does, that matches our criteria then please call us for more information so we can determine if your dog could be one of our hero's. Feel free to ask for Lauren, one of our wonderful RVN's who acts as our blood bank coordinator around here! 😍

We've seen some incredible results in practice following blood transfusions for very unwell animals. For some of us, our pets are our world, please help give us the opportunity to give them a chance 💙💚

One week of fostering Darla. She’s made 4 new friends, helped us move house, learnt not to bark at the tv, desensitised herself to McDonalds’ drive thru and been the sweetest companion to 93year old auntie Beryl 🩶🐾

When we first started walking/sitting Millie she was a real puller. Every time we see her she gets better and for once I caught footage of Sean working his leash magic! 🐾
