Ultra special family required
We are putting the feelers out for an ultra special home for these two babies
Hippo was a lucky hen who escaped the slaughter man by hiding. She’s very bald so will need lots of rehab and love. She will not be able to go outside yet unless we have a warm and sunny day and that’s only for a few hours as she feels the cold a lot
We also have Gracie who was found roosting on a car. We believe she’s fallen off a commercial lorry on the way to an egg farm. Gracie is only a point of lay and is very nervous but is probably top hen
These two do everything together. They find their strength within eachother so they must stay as a pair.
They must not be put with other hens so they would need their own space until hippo is fully feathered which may take months. They have been through so much and need time to decompress and chill with as much yummy food and snoozing time as they want 🥰
I’m more than happy to keep them as long as they need, however, they are effectively 2 healthy girls who will flourish given the time and care that they need so If we can find somewhere suitable, it will give us space for the next ones who need our help
If you would like to show interest in this beautiful pair, please do give us a shout 🧡🧡

Wilma my Saint Bernard disappeared off into the conifers in my garden this morning and then came out and sat by my feet with a funny look in her eyes like she was in trouble
When I asked her what’s up she dropped a little baby pigeon at my feet!! Covered in yelllow fluff and far too young to be out of the nest
Well done wilma!!
Normally I’d look to see if I could find a nest but he was stone cold and barely moving.
Put him straight into my bra to warm him up (classy!) 😂😂
I didn’t hold out much hope but I have a small incubator so put him in there and left him to warm though
My good friends at The Wildlife Alliance - Hull & East Yorkshire said they would take him if he pulled through so 4 hours passed and I checked on him
He was alive!! …… and ready for some grub!!
Thanks to some relay transport we managed to get him over the bridge into safe hands.
I’m told he has slight canker but nothing major and he now has some new friends 🐦 🐣 🐶
🤣🤣🤣
What is it with these woodpecker type chickens we’ve had in lately!?
Bless her, I think she liked what I was offering 🤣🤣
Muffin 💙
This poor boy does have a story which I will share when I can but for now it’s Just a dumped cockerel riding shotgun sharing my muffin….. happy Saturday everyone xx
Sammy 🩵🩵
This is Sammy
Sammy was found dumped with his 2 brothers but sadly 2 of his brothers were killed before they could be saved. It’s likely Sammy witnessed this 💔😩
He has been with us a few weeks now and his assessment has been going great. He is understandably a nervous boy who chooses stay away from me when I’m in his enclosure but will run for treats and calls his girls over. He’s only young, 7/8 months or so
He is currently in an enclosure but I let him into the garden one day for some free range time and poor Sammy changed.
He looked so frightened and worried where his girls were, all went in different directions and he didn’t know who to follow. As I approached, he panicked and he went for me. He was in pure fight or flight mode and I blame myself completely
Sadly for this reason Sammy failed his personality assessment. He’s not a bad boy and since being back in his enclosure he has never done it again. I believe that he is extremely traumatised and he just can’t handle that much freedom.
I’d like to know if there is a family out there for Sammy, one who is willing to give him the time and security he needs to get over this horrendous experience.
Things will get better, he just needs to know he is safe and that he has a family who loves him
I am willing to travel if it means finding someone for Sammy. Please do get in touch if you can help
This makes every sting. Prickle and sleep deprived night worth it 🩵🩵🩵🩵🥰

This is Callie. She’s not poorly as you can see at the end of the video. She just rrrrrrrreally loves her mum 🥰🥰🥰
Hugo 💙
This is Hugo. Hugo was found last weekend at the side of a road, dumped like rubbish 💔 going by the length of his spurs he’s about a year old and is a total sweetheart. He’s very gentle with hens and is very laid back as you can see
If you can offer Hugo the forever flock he deserves, please get in touch xx
Omg this boy 🥰🥰🥰
This little lad was dumped with his brother and some other boys in Doncaster. He had a huge swelling on his face which needed to be surgically removed and he has been living life to the fullest ever since. He’s literally one in a million and is the happiest cockerel I’ve ever known 🧡 🐓
My new little mate waiting at my hospital door every morning for his mealworms 😂🤦♀️
🧡🧡
Last week she was sitting in the darkness mud and dirt of a commercial barn and this week she’s in the bedroom getting blow dried 😂🥰🧡
