Did you know that although chickens can't fly long distances, they can fly up into a tree or over a fence for better foraging? They can run at up to 9 mph in short bursts and can turn very quickly!

When it comes to hen care tasks this is one we really don't mind doing! Be sure to collect any eggs your ladies have laid each day. Just avoid washing them as this will remove the protective bloom which keeps out bacteria. Instead, just wash them when you're going to use them!
