At Maloon, we strive to ensure that every party involved in the adoption process of a kitten – including the new parents, the kitten itself, and the breeder – is fully satisfied with how the process unfolds.
We make an effort to get to know the new parents, so don't be surprised if you hear questions about, for example, the living conditions. However, we respect your privacy throughout, and we completely avoid any awkward questions.
In the meantime, we warmly invite you to visit us in person, and if that's not possible, we can arrange a video call so that potential parents can get to know us, our breeding practices, and our cats.
When you decide to purchase one of our cats, we will present you with a pre-prepared contract, which is a legal document of ownership transfer. It will contain all the information related to health guarantees and other necessary details for the new parent. Kittens usually leave us at around 12 weeks after 2 vaccinations, so don't be surprised when you're asked to place a deposit of 30% of the cat's value to ensure that the kitten will go to you.
When the long-awaited day of picking up the kitten arrives, we'll invite you to come to us for a personal handover, or if you prefer, we'll personally arrange for the kitten to be delivered to you.
At the time of pickup and in the following days, we share valuable advice with the new parents regarding diet, litter box usage, feline habits, and many other things to ensure that the new parent is fully prepared for the new family member. You will also receive a starter gift from us as well as a 5-week insurance coverage.
