WEDNESDAY NIGHT CHUKKAS ARE BACK FROM 11TH MAY!
All Pony Club and UKPA Members are welcome to join our Wednesday evening chukkas and training at Risebridge Farm, Peasley Lane, Goudhurst, TN17 1HP.
There will be two sessions, one at 6-7pm for Pony Club players and newcomers, and at 6.45-8pm for those who are more experienced.
All ages and experience are very welcome, so get some buddies from your Pony Club along to join in the fun!
We also have a training session on Sunday 8th May at Risebridge Farm, and on 22nd May in Essex with Area 8.

What a great weekend at Pony Club - Polocrosse Spring Arena Championships!
Ajay Howitt played his first games in the Open Senior division as the goalscoring No. 1, and in their final match only lost by a goal to the eventual winners!
Rosie Webb and Alice Power played in the Open Junior division, along with Kent Target Polocrosse Club teammate, Kiki Flower from Area 8. They won the division, with Rosie and Kiki picking up Best 1 and 2, and Alice winning Lady Player of the Tournament, an incredible achievement!
We'll be sharing some photos and videos of the event this week!

The Pony Club Arena Challenge at Dallas Burston, Southam, is this weekend! The organisers have just emailed to say they are looking for;
1 Senior - ideally around C grade level but will happily take higher or lower
1 Open Junior (under 16 on 1st Jan)
1 Novice Junior (under 16 on 1st Jan)
2 Novice Minis (under 12 on 1st Jan, on pony 13.2hh and under).

Our local club! All Pony Clubbers (and parents 😁) welcome

Kent Target Polocrosse Club are one of our largest polocrosse communities, and have each of our CORE VALUES at the heart of all they do!

"I think that the sport of polocrosse is one big community, split into several smaller communities that are the clubs.

We spend probably in excess of 10 weekends a year away at polocrosse training and tournaments, and so we spend that time with those members of our clubs. We try to park near one another, and we help to set up pens and camps for those arriving late. We share facilities and meals with one another, we work as teams and keep regular communication with each other via WhatsApp. If anyone in the club needs help, spare kit, spare horses, spare players, we all rally around and help out where we can. We all look out for one another, our children play together and we share the highs and lows and we have a good laugh along the way.

Here at Kent we start the weekend at a tournament with a club meeting, we have regular Saturday evening drinks before the evening meal. At Nationals we set up a rota for the help required like goal judging and field marshalling. We have our famous fajita night for our Saturday evening, after our equally famous cheese and prosecco!! We allocate coaches to each division so everyone receives pitch-side help and everyone is expected to muck in. Our club is as much a big family as a community and its amazing to be part of it."

Wise words from Area 11 superstar Alice Power!

Can you think of the last time you saw an example of great ?

"Sportsmanship is important in polocrosse because it is a team sport, therefore you need to be a team player. Good sportsmanship includes being resilient and persevering even if your team is not doing well. In polocrosse you also need teamwork, communication, respect and kindness. As a result of sportsmanship you create friends and a higher chance of winning!

At the Late Season tournament my team were playing against some very tough teams that were much older and stronger than us but we kept showing resilience and supporting each other to build up our confidence - this approach paid off for us and our team came second!"
