It has been MONTHS since we posted anything!
We are still here, promise 😅, our feet just never seem to hit the floor long enough to be able to post anything! 😁.

We’ve had a lot of encounters, personal experiences, education workshops keeping us busy. We also now teach in schools a couple of days each week and run numerous intervention programmes for many young people with additional needs and severe mental health (these sessions are led by a qualified/ registered Social Worker).

Bagheera the fox is MASSIVE and soooo much fun to be around! The Birds have all finished moulting in their free frying averies and are getting ready to free fly. All our mammals and reptiles are doing well and we recently had a new tailless Whip scorpian join us called Demon.

‼️We have a few Saturday slots available in the run up to Christmas and will be offer 10% off on the 2hr platinum packages and 10% off on the 1hr VIP’s for groups of 3 people or more! ‼️

To book, give us a call 01245 910 456, messege us or drop us an email at animalisticencounters.com

See you all soon ☺️🐇🐭🐹🐀🦔🦊🐍🐸🦖🐢🦅🦎🦗🕷️🦂🦉

Last week was by far the busiest week of the term so far with a number of intervention sessions, group workshops, events and school visits. We loved learning about classification of animals, natural habitats and biomes and fun facts about animals from all over the world. A massive thank you to everyone who booked with us and for all the feedback cards and pictures ❤️😁

Today we launched a brand new project of Animal Assisted Intervention programmes at a local primary school In Southend.

These sessions have very generously been funded by a local couple seeking to improve the lives, opportunities and wellbeing of children. This new project aims to target 105 children in need of therapeutic services across Southend between now and Christmas 2024.

Interventions include:

🦎small group wellbeing sessions where children learn about different animals and complete a different animal themed project each week.

🦎Animal Assisted Activity sessions on a 1-2-1 basis where children explore a range of feelings, emotions and coping strategies through animal experiences. These sessions are fun for all.

🦎Animal Assisted Therapy sessions on a 1-2-1 basis. These sessions are structured, outcome focused and should only ever be delivered by a qualified and registered practitioner. Sessions focus on working through intense trauma and adversities that children have faced and require careful planning and review.

All of our intervention programmes are led by Lexi who has worked with children in a professional capacity for over 19 years and has been a qualified social worker for more than 10 years. Lexi also completed a 2 year Diploma in Animal Assited Interventions back in 2020.
