Today marks the first day of mental health awareness week 2024.
This years theme is movement.
Why movement?
One of the most important things we can do to help protect our mental health is regular movement.
Our bodies and our minds are connected, so looking after ourselves physically also helps us prevent problems with our mental health. Exercise releases “feel good” hormones, that reduce feelings of stress and anger. It also helps us feel better about our bodies. It can improve our sleep too. If it involves other people, like being part of a team, a class or group we see regularly, that can also boost our mental health.
We run small inclusive group sessions, so we don't overwhelm individuals who have social anxieties.
All our sessions are hands on and involve movement in many different ways and are tailored to each individuals abilities.

Our first "Not fine in school" group session went well today.
We will be running more of these sessions on friday mornings to start with, then expanding to both morning and afternoon sessions if we have enough interest.
These sessions are ran in small mixed groups of no more than 5 children. (Parent/carer welcome to stay)
We do require booking in advance so we know what numbers we have to plan sessions.
Bookings for Friday 19th April now available.
10am - 11am.
4 places available.
