Happy New Year 2025 🎉✨

2024 has been a great year with 2 new additions to our pack, a number of adventures, meeting new friends aswell as seeing the growth and development of Frontier K9 Services 🐾

Welcome 8 month old male Rottweiler Otto to Frontier K9. What a lovely boy he is 😀 Otto has always been very sociable and friendly towards other dogs and that all changed when he was attacked by an off lead dog when he was 6 months old. Otto completely shutdown after being attacked and was completely withdrawn. Since then he has become extremely reactive when he comes across other dogs and his owners have reached out for help to work on his emotional response towards other dogs.

It is so frustrating, as we see this same problem time and time again and it all comes down to responsible dog ownership. The amount of dogs that we see off lead without any control or recall and harassing other dogs is alarming.

Remember, off lead freedom is a privilege and needs to be earned through hard work and training. If you can’t be bothered to do that, then keep your dog on a lead and allow others who have prioritised their training to enjoy public spaces freely without consequence.

Otto will be joining our group classes to work on building his confidence up and to start trusting dogs again as he once did. So many of our clients have joined our group classes due to the exact same reasons and have made great progress, giving them and their owners a better quality of life. Best of luck to Otto and his owner on their training journey 😊

Meet the Team 🐾

Tara is our Assistant trainer here at Frontier K9. As well as training our own dogs, she is actively involved in helping to run our weekend group obedience classes, alongside assisting with our 1:1 Training sessions.

Tara will be running puppy training on weekends at our private training grounds in West Parley, Bournemouth as well as taking on clients for general pet dog training.
