Loving and living my best life! Off lead freedom at the beach today for the first time ever. My recall assistant Arlo found my forever home did a great job reminding me what to do.
I dug up a dead crab but decided it wasn’t tasty and went in some puddles that were deeper than I expected. Such good fun. Am zonked on the sofa now 🐾 💕
It's my 2nd Gotcha Day today! I am the most polite dog you could wish for in the house and my favourite things are sleeping, belly rubs and cheese.
Every day I get told and shown how much I'm loved. Living my best life 🐾 💕
Its 10 days since the combined 45kg of Cypriot pointyness of me and my brother Arlo gifted our Mum with this cracking haematoma. Not sure who was the most surprised at the speed we recalled to the whistle!!
Since Mum is a bit spaffed and the weather thinks we're back in the Med, we've been going out at sparrow's fart (prised from my slumber no less!) to a field with lovely damp grass to keep us cool. Home for breakfast and lazing the day away with on demand belly rubs from Dad.
Living the dream 💕 🐾
Mum bit the bullet today and took me for a walk in the forest on my longline.
I was such a good girl, I didnt tank off, react to other dogs or chase a blackbird that took off right under my nose. Mum is now wondering if I might be broken 😂
Woo hoo! Go me!
First gun dog training session today and I RETRIEVED a rabbity ball. Mum is ecstatically happy as I've never shown any interest before and I've been sleeping off my success all afternoon.
Soooo... after 400 years in the car, I am finally home. WITH MY NEW BROTHER!! I cant seem to tag him but his name is Arlo and he's 5 months old.
He's very cute, very energetic and a bit bemused at the moment but he's a clever lad who has worked out where the comfiest spot on the sofa is.
I myself am totally exhausted and looking forward to the washing finishing so I can go to my mega bed to decompress properly. Looking forward to our adventures together!
Been to the local pet store, helped myself to a tasty chicken donut. Dad took it off me, muttering something about shop lifting. No idea what that is but he must love me as it mysteriously appeared in the pub!
What a great gallopy field! Toys and tyres and biscuits!
Living my best life
Great way to start the day! Followed this up with a walk to the common where I dug for moles and managed to consume one discarded rib, 2 unknown crunchy things and half a cheese sandwich!! Mum is less happy with this second part, dunno why 🤷🏻♀️
Soggy dog
Today I decided that if I had to get soaking wet to complete my ablutions then Mum would jolly well have to get wet too! None of your 'go do wee wees in the garden' for me today!
Dad did some training inside with me. I am very good at most things, Dad only has to move his hand to direct me. Im also very good at accepting belly rubs. My favourite things after food and sleep.
I rewarded Mum with a lovely loose lead walk, she was so pleased that we went almost 2 miles in the pouring rain. I certainly lived up to my name today, Mum called me a perfect 🌟 That's not what she called me at the weekend when I tried to lengthen her left arm at the beach.
Go me
This is the new me, engaged on a loose lead. Mum's arms are very grateful 😂 🐾
Lots of repetition, patience and CHICKEN/CHEESE/SAUSAGES have helped shape me into this canine paragon. Not forgetting Sarah Groves excellent assistance in the training of Mum & Dad.
Moley moley moley, where are you?
Living my best life digging for moles at the gallopy field today. Mum & Dad had a plan to practice recall, but they agreed with me that this was more fun.
Mr Mole must have thought so too cos I didnt find him.
This is Mum’s attempt to capture me snoring. I’d only been asleep 5 mins, the very cheek of it!!!
Bit of excitement here. Dad inadvertently scared the beejeebus out of me yesterday in the pub - he blew across an empty Coke bottle and it made a REALLY SCARY noise. Worse than the hoover and the food processor put together!! I was not impressed and clamped my tail between my legs, most unlike me tho I did recover and sit nicely with Mum. Chicken helped.
Came home and Dad happened to have an empty plastic bottle in his hands (as you do when you just poured out the last of the water). I thought he was waving it at me and along with the noisy Coke bottle it was all too much and I had to do manic wall of death zoomies round the front room, across the sofa, the back of Dad’s head and everything. I was persuaded to calm down after 4 laps, had some belly rubs and the remains of my dinner in my slow feeder bowl. All was well, though Dad was persona non grata.
This morning something wasn’t right with my tail, it won’t go up and wag properly. As it happens I was off to the vet for a check up on my itchiness, so she had a look at my droopy tail too. Still not speaking to Dad so Mum took me. I was the goodest girl even though I was very unsure. I cried a bit but Mum had magic chicken in her handbag and that helped me to sit still for a bit.
The nice vet lady weighed me and examined me, she says I’m probably allergic to something or other so I have some tablets to take for a week. Mum is going to wash everything that is mine in special washing powder and I have to go back in 2 weeks. I also have antiflammitries for my swimmer’s tail 🤦🏻♀️ and I be all back to normal by the time I goes back. I likes the tablets very much, they taste just like chicken!!
Oh and I made friends with Dad again, he is mortified but I knows he loves me very much.
Missing you
Dad just went out to his volunteering job, I'm. Keeping watch til he comes back. I woofed at someone jogging just because I could, so they would know the house is under guard. I rarely bark 😂
Mum told Dad she thought he would see an improvement in my walking skills. Unfortunately for her I heard this so did my best this morning to prove her wrong. It was very icy, I had my coat on and there was a noisy house alarm going off so I turned off my ears and stuck my nose down.
Just to show willing I did offer some nice sit and stay in the garden afterwards.
Now I'm keeping Dad's seat warm til he comes back
I is EXHAUSTED!
Busy day today, walking, dog trainer, trip in the car to the dog groomer (she clipped my nails and did something to my bottom!!!!!) What’s a girl to do apart from sleep it off?? Sound on for this one.
ResChews
Today all my Christmases came at once with a lovely big box of goodies from ResChews. Mum said I could only have 2 little ones but I knows where they live now and keep gazing longingly at the box.
I went somewhere new today. We took Dad to his man creche as his car has died and walked from there. It was a new walk for Mum too as her manflu interfered with her direction finding skills. We had to walk under the scary motorway 4 times! I knew it was OK cos Mum said so but by the 4th time I was too busy sniffing sniffs to care. This may be why we got a bit tangled up wiuth a buddleia bush.
I haz been a good girl again, better at getting in and out if the car and better at meeting or ignoring other dogs. I rolled in horse pooh whilst Mum was trying to blow her nose and ate some cat pooh whilst she was opening the gate. Distraction is the best technique ever!!
