Leaving a treat for Santa? Can your dog reach Santa's plate?
Having seen plenty of mince pie ingestion since November, here's a reminder of how not to end up in the vets this Christmas.
❌️Mince Pies ❌️Xylitol ( birch sugar )
❌️Chocolate ❌️ Christmas cake
❌️Alcohol ❌️ Onions
❌️Batteries ❌️ Cooked Bones
There's a lot more potential toxins this time of year. Don't be tempted to feed leftovers.
We adore seeing your pets at the vets, but santa won't visit.. keep your pets safe this Christmas 🐾

With less than a week to go, it’s easy to get swept up in the holiday excitement! 🎄
But remember to keep your dog safe by watching out for these common Christmas hazards:

❌ Antifreeze & road salt – harmful if ingested.
❌ Poinsettias, holly & mistletoe – can be toxic if eaten.
❌ Potpourri – Can cause vomiting, diarrhoea, or choking.
❌ Christmas lights & small Decorations – choking and blockage hazards.
❌ Cooked bones – Can splinter easily and cause internal injuries.
❌ Chocolate & nuts – Toxic and can lead to serious health issues.
❌ Christmas pudding, mince pies & stollen – contain dried fruits like raisins, currants, and other toxic ingredients.

👉Share this with fellow dog owners to help protect their pups this holiday season!

Did you watch? Flicka is an amazing day out, Doggy friendly too...next time you're visiting, why not pop in and support the donkeys ❤️❤️

'A Donkey for Christmas' Channel 5 8.00 pm tonight ❤️

Our enormous thanks to Judi our Ambassador and her daughter Finty for so generously giving their time to chat on camera about donkeys and Flicka 💕

We're all a bit nervous (eh Rachel), have no idea how it will be edited, but just want donkeys and donkey welfare to be the paramount message with the Yorkshire Vet Peter Wright - thank you Peter.

We hope you enjoy it 🙏
