Week two of adopting 11yr old, Labrador Sid.

All is well. Cuddles, fusses, Mercy, Milo and Bowbee. All good 😊

The cats are unphased and all Sid wants to do is wash them and say hi. 🥰

Fully transitioned to Raw food, Sid is thriving.

(Don’t worry, Mercy has a foot injury healing very nicely. It’s covered just to keep it clean from garden visits.)

First thing this morning at Salcey forest, I came across a man I have come across many times before.
Three beautiful Labrador boys, always off lead, not a shred of recall between the three of them, always a pain in the arse whenever I see him but I usually have somewhere to get out the way or just turn around, today however we met in the car park, luckily with all friendly dogs and a male who is not entire (every time I’ve met them with an entire male they’ve come and squared up and growled at him).
I have been making great headway with a young playful, boisterous Rottweiler girl who gets leash frustration with other dogs, however there’s not much I can really do when I have three off lead dogs weaving their way into the four that I’m already handling, with an owner who has no ability or intention of controlling them.

Please people, show some common courtesy and control your dogs, it’s frustrating for me working with a dog and having the training ruined by encounters like this, my main worry however is that the next dog your dog runs over to may not be just a goofy idiot.
