Treat of the Week - Beef Tripe 🐮

Beef Tripe sticks are made from the stomach lining of a cow. They are a relatively inexpensive chew and a firm favourite for many dogs.
They can help to keep teeth clean, satisfy the natural instinct to chew, whilst also being high in protein and low in fat. However, despite their low fat content, they are high in calories so 1-2 times a week will be plenty for most dogs.

Beef tripe is also very easy to digest and provides a complete amino acid profile (this basically means it provides all the amino acids your dog can’t produce itself)
Additionally, tripe is packed full of minerals and compounds. The Selenium and Vitamin B12 content can help contribute to good brain function and Nervous System & Immune health.

Treat of the Week - Hairy Rabbit Ears 🐰

Many people are unaware of the health benefits that come with feeding furry and hairy treats!
They are a fab natural de-wormer as dogs are unable to fully digest the hair. Happy Friday everyone 🩵

Sorry I have been a tad quiet this week, I have been really busy house sitting 🏠🐶 I wanted to update you on what's been happening this week. I have finally got a restock of Training Treats on the way 🐕‍🦺 with a new flavour for you to try 😋 plus a couple of new products because I just can't help myself 😂

I have also made some great progress on my Canine Nutrition Course and should be finished by the end of this month 😁💪

I often get asked what is the best thing for a nervous or anxious dog 🐶

Anything that encourages your dog to lick and chew will help with the release of endorphins. Endorphins are the 'Happy' hormone that are produced and released in the dogs brain, helping them to relax and feel calm. I would highly recommend any of my LickiMat products for this scenario, paired with spreadable pate or other dog friendly spreads such as natural yogurt or peanut butter. Another fab option that can also be paired up with these are Cut Trachea, Cow Hooves and Buffalo Horns. Naturally the holes allow them to be stuffed and filled with the added option of even freezing them to increase the amount of time it takes your dog to get through them 😃 creating the perfect long lasting, enriching treat that is natural, healthy and stress reducing 🧘‍♀️

Of course, every dog is different so what may work for one dog may not work for another so patience and experimenting is key.
