Yup it's Sunday but fish isn't just for Friday's anymore! 🐟🐟😎

Fish is a highly nutritious food source for dogs. It is high in easily digestible, high-quality proteins, oils and fats. These contribute to the rich concentration of omega-3, which helps to improve heart, eye, brain, skin and joint health.

In addition to this, our fish skin treats take a bit of effort to crunch through, which enables them to act as a toothbrush to clean away the plaque from your dog’s teeth.

Whilst fish skins are very healthy for your dog, they should only contribute to your dog’s daily treats and not be their main source of nutrition. Therefore, even though there isn’t a set amount they should eat daily, only offer them in moderation.

Those of you that know me know that this is not my main vocation ... I have another one of those; I've been a professional dog walker since 2002 (gulp! 😳) but now in the middle of a pandemic seemed as good a time as any to branch out 🤦‍♀️🤣

The joys of owning a dog are many, however picking up poo isn't one of them 🤦‍♀️😂 As responsible dog owners we all know there ain't no dog 💩 fairy and we have to clear up that mess ourselves.

So, nappy bags from the supermarket? The cheapest option for sure but we are all pretty conscious of how much plastic we use nowadays and how quickly it breaks down.

Here at Wyld Wolfe we have various products that may make you go YUK! We explained about the benefits of chicken feet the other week in that they contain glucosamine and chondroitin which are fabulous for your puppers joints so today it's all about the FLUFFY stuff!!!

We have several products that come with hair still attached such as our Fluffy Rabbit Skins, Beef Bark and Vension Legs.

The fur covering these items is actually a source of fibre and that of course as we all know from being told to up our own fibre content is great for digestive health.

Fur is indigestible so as it makes its way through the digestive tract it can help to clear away food residue which can build up over time. This build up of food residue can cause a sluggish digestive system, which can over time cause discomfort 😟

Having a cleaner digestive tract can help your doggos body in absorbing more of the nutrients being ingested through the cell wall of the digestive tract. A clean digestive system will mean more nutrients absorbed ✅

It is also widely believed that eating products with fur/hair on can act as a natural protection against worms by brushing away worms and eggs in the digestive system. If you wish to go down the route of healthy worming without harsh tablets then we would strongly urge you to do natural worm count testing, the kits are readily available online.

Fur also helps with dental hygiene by rubbing a little of the surface plaque off 🪥

Fibre/fur is also great for firming up your doggos 💩
