🐕🐾When training with your dogs, don’t focus on what others are doing, focus on yourself! 🫶

Everyone is an individual and each one of us is working at their own pace!

What is the reality for you, isn’t a reality for someone else, your struggles are not their struggles!

What is achievable for you, might not be for someone else and vice versa!

Any progress is a progress, regardless how big or small it is!🫶

So, be proud of your dogs and yourselves for that!!!♥️🐕🐾

Another great Dog Social Club Meeting with some of my customers and their doggies who were reactive in the past! Gradual habituation/introduction and Socialisation in a safe environment is crucial as well as the analysing dog’s body language! Avoiding is not the best option, but scaffolding the positive experience in a “dog’s resilience account” is really helpful and results are speaking for themselves! As usual the 3D’s are the keys- Distance, Duration, Distractions!
Amazing job and well done to all my customers and their beloved dogs! Was a pleasure to see you all and spend this time together in a nice and relaxed atmosphere where each dog could interact at their own pace! 👏🐕🐶🐾

Is an option where I walk and train my customer's dogs or puppies for them while on a walk! This service can be combined with one of your dog's daily walks, so you don't need to pay extra for a dog walker on that day, and can have some time for yourself or be at work, knowing that your canine family member is learning while being outside!

So, I thought I would make a tutorial video, explaining how I practise criteria -the 3D’s! ( distance, duration and distraction) with my dogs!
That helps us and our canine friends to work on their self-control and focus! 😉
P.S.
I always try make sure that before training we put structure in place- such as having fun with them before we start training( running around, playing some engagement games) then we do some calming activities( sniffing or slowing the pace of the walk for example) followed by practising exercises!😊🐾🐕

This young puppy here is a very smart and playful boy!!! 😊
We are in process of learning/understanding that over excitement doesn’t take us nowhere… nor does jumping or barking without having been given a cue!!!
Am really looking forward to see where we will get … to follow!!! 😉
