My Xmas holiday break dates above!

I’m not sure I’ll ever feel fully ready for Christmas, but I’ve managed to wrap a couple of presents—so that’s a start! 😅

I want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to all my amazing dog walking and boarding clients. It’s truly a privilege to take care of your beautiful dogs, and I feel so lucky to spend my days with them. No two days are ever the same, and I absolutely love what I do.

‼️ This might make you feel a bit squeamish ‼️

Coco has been sidelined for a couple of weeks after scraping off one of his claw casings, leaving the sensitive part exposed. We’ve done bandages, cones, inflatable collars, penicillin, and antibiotics, but he developed sores from the bandage and the wound started smelling.

I asked the vet to remove the bandage and I decided to try Green Clay on the wound part (not on the claw yet, still following his course of vet treatment on that part). I’ve heard great things about green clay for wounds to hotspots etc.
Thank you for dispatching it so quickly 🙌

Tonight, I applied it to his sores with some cream cheese to distract him. Fingers crossed it helps over the next few days! 🙏

Hi all, just to let you know I will be off October half term, a wee bit of R&R is required and Halloween fun too 🎃

It is quite a balance running your own business ⚖️ really wanting to be there for all your clients all the time but also factoring in that you have a family and down time with them and rest for yourself is equally as important.

My next break after that will be 🎄Don’t mention the C word 😆

Hello, as I haven’t had chance to do this yet, I thought it was high time I share a little introduction post with you, so you know more about the lady who is Wagging Mama 👋

In the spring of 2021, I took the leap from a salaried corporate job to creating my own business. Being raised by a family of entrepreneurs and self employed folk, this was inevitably going to happen and I haven’t looked back since 😃

Coco my little Springer mix was also a big inspiration to me wanting to pursue dog walking as my next chapter and also my the love for the outdoors 🍁

I have grown up with pets in my life, from beautiful Bessie, a mongrel who adopted us! To my beautiful tortoiseshell cat Belle and my silver fox yorkie Peppa, who both lived to the grand old age of 18 ❤️

At the age of 10, when my parents agreed to horse riding lessons I was instantly hooked and at 15, somehow managed to own a horse. My poor parents they were so nagged! 🙄

As a dog walker and licensed home boarder, being able to have dogs stay in our home and our children being comfortable around them, is precious.
We pride ourselves in being able to offer a relaxed home from home environment. When dogs stay with us they become our extended family ☺️ we want them to have the best time!

Behind the scenes, I am busy upgrading my marketing skills, doing lots of admin, learning and attending attributable courses.
I have recently completed:

👉Canine First Aid Level 2.
👉I am now a member of Dog Law SOS.
And in October I will be completing the 👉IMDT Professional Dog Walking Certification Course.

I am aware that dog walking currently does not require a licence but it is a great responsibility and deserves the upmost respect. Knowledge is power in whatever you do and looking after dogs is no different.

Finally one silly fact about me, I was once on the cover of Sailing Weekly, having managed to win a race and not knowing anything about sailing! Go figure 🤪

I attended this seminar today, so interesting and we only touched the surface. Trevor was so insightful and my head is spinning now too. Thank you KALEE - Canine Wellbeing & Education for bringing this topic to my attention, I love your workshops! I would definitely recommend them to dog professionals and dog owners 😊

Did you know that today is dog walker appreciation day?! 🙌🐾🙋‍♀️

I know whatever next but I thought what a great opportunity to share a little insight into me, the person who takes your most prized possession out each week for adventures, meeting up with their mates and bringing them home tired and happy whilst you are out working hard so they can have a wonderful life! 😍

After working in business most of my adult life working, I decided to make a significant change. While my desk job had its moments, I found myself longing for something more fulfilling—something that brought me closer to what I love. That’s when I made the leap to become a dog walker, swapping spreadsheets and meetings for fresh air, wagging tails, and daily adventures.

It wasn’t just about being outdoors, though that’s certainly a bonus, even in all types of weather! It’s the joy of seeing dogs thrive, being part of their day, and offering them the exercise and stimulation they need. This change has brought me so much happiness, and I’ve never looked back!

Helping dogs live their best lives has made me feel more connected and content than I ever thought possible.

I love meeting new doggos, watching them grow and gain confidence with their pals or enjoying one on one time with me on their solo walks is super special. I don’t think I’ve had the Monday blues since starting this job, even in the pouring rain ☔️

I absolutely love what I do, whether it’s dog walking or home boarding, and I cherish the process of getting to know each dog individually.

Seeing the bond form, watching their excitement when they see me, or noticing how comfortable they are at home is incredibly special. Knowing that my clients are genuinely happy with the care my family and I provide makes it all the more rewarding. Receiving such lovely reviews is the icing on the cake.
