🐑🐶seeking her own flock 🐑🐶

Unregistered Rising two year old female, good temperament with other dogs and children, clean and quiet in her kennel. Doing the basics nicely on training sheep, she will take both sides has a stop and re call. This is very much a dog who needs to be In full time work. Shes very keen and has plenty of push and shove. however she is strong willed and needs an owner who will take charge, therfor not suitable for beginners or small holders. Sarah will be teaching from Kate’s Hill, IP7 5PP on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday most weeks. From the end of September, I will be starting pups and young dogs from my home Mill Hill Farm, NR13 6DF. Seeking accommodation and training placement with those exciting things called sheep.
JOSS is a lovely young, full coated, black and white year old bitch, ISDS registered.
She is granddaughter of Ricky Hutchinson's International Supreme Champion ‘Jock’, her dam was bred by Harry Hutchinson (Wardstone prefix) in Lancashire, also lines back to Heathgate (Sarah Jenkins) and Shadwell (Megan Jenkins) breeding, and Julie Hill’s International Supreme Driving Champion, Ban.
Joss is started on sheep and going gently underhand, she shows great natural balance, and is intelligent and sensitive to handle.
She would suit a novice or quiet handler.
I would be pleased to continue her training with her new owner, if desired.

Wondering if there is anyone looking at this page who might be looking for a yard/guard dog? This is a rescue dog. Signed over to the vet after requested euthanasia, (large handsome Border Collie male) Multiple failed pet homes. Looks at livestock and would make a farm dog, but requires a lot more time and further training. He was extremely aggressive across the board, but has improved. He requires a remote location and a very experienced handler of this type of dog/temperament.

Looking for new employment 🐑.

9 month old Murv is looking for a flock of his own. He would suit more of a smallholder novice handler 🏠.

Murv is a really sweet lad that enjoys the company of other dogs. He's been around children ,jumps in a truck , clean in a kennel and very easy to have around.

He is running on sheep and is very keen but would benefit from some more time to mature and would be ready to train more formally in the summer. ☀️🐕

Now we are all settled, we want to say a huge heart felt thank you to all of those who have followed us to our new location. We would also like to welcome all our new clients, and with this is mind we thought we should introduce ourselves properly 😊

Sarah met her first working sheepdog in her early twenties when she was living and working on a mixed farm in Sussex, keeping sheep and cattle. A few years later she bought a pup of H Glyn Jones’s breeding called josh. He showed such interest in sheep that Sarah got in touch with Glyn and asked for help in training him. Glyn taught her how to start a young pup and take him right through to trial standard. Sarah then joined the East Anglian Sheepdog Society and began to do well on the trial field, and started teaching for the Agricultural Training Board, which was worked around shepherding large numbers of sheep. Over the years Sarah has been fortunate enough to have had some tremendous dogs. At only 4 years old “Mott”went to her first ever English National Sheepdog Trial and straight into the England Team, to represent England at the International Sheepdog Trials. Together they went on to compete on “One Man and His Dog”. Mott was followed by “Bill” who also took Sarah into the England Team for a second time and onto the World Trial at Bala in Wales in 2003. Sarah will tell you she’s owes everything to her working sheepdogs. They have been her teachers, friends and providers. Sarah really enjoys passing on knowledge to others who wish to learn, and it is immeasurably rewarding to be able to demonstrate that there are other languages, than the spoken word.

Nell has grown up surrounded by working sheepdogs and gun dogs, being taught about farming from a young age by her father. Nell brought her young dog over to Sarah four years ago to ask for her guidance. Sarah noticed Nell had a natural talent for working with dogs and asked if Nell would like to be part of the business. Nell now has her own team of dogs and is currently splitting her time between contract shepherding and teaching along side Sarah.

Caitlin, is Sarah’s daughter and therefore has always grown up with a passion for working sheepdogs and farming, having her own dog to train up at just 9 years old. Caitlin is currently full time shepherding with her own team of dogs, however she is still taking dogs in for training and will join Sarah and Nell to teach lessons again in the new year.

Lastly we should mention our two youngest members of staff Barley and Tess, once met they are never forgotten!

We have a young male around a year old Looking for a kind , understanding and experienced home to continue to help him progress. He came to us scared and confused about life and is now a very happy boy. He is sweet and well behaved but can still be weary of new people/environments at times. We would like to send our love to our friends Judith and Paul who sadly lost their dog Trevor at just 3 years old. Judith and Trevor have been on an incredible journey together and over came many challenges. Trevor was quite the character and we will miss not seeing you all every weekend! Xx Judith Snowling
