I’ve been struck down with a winter virus 🦠 😪 and not been able to keep up with growing.
Knowing how ill I get and how long it can last I am going to do my best to get up there and start a batch off today.
Hopefully I don’t get any worse and they’ll be grass ready next week 🤞

Tips on how to take care of your cats grass now it’s getting cold 🥶 and damp

1- move to a warm place, next to a heater is perfect
2- it doesn’t need watering as much, a small amount once per day is probably more than enough

If you notice white fluffy hairs spreading on top of the soil, the grass is being over watered and mould has started to grow.

If you don’t want to throw it away-

1- You can rinse the mould off or brush it out by tilting the tray or pot and gently agitate the compost to remove the mould.
2- Do no water and keep in a well lit warm place to allow the compost to dry out and the resume watering only when compost is looking dry/ lighter brown

If ever in doubt throw the grass away and remember to recycle the tray at Coombs if you can

My cat grass is getting extra special treatment over the autumn / winter. This unit will help to keep the cat grass warm throughout the colder months.
Please help your self to a tray as normal and don’t forget the lid if you use it for watering your grass.

Apology the shelves are empty 😖
As many of you may be aware I have two very young boys that keep me very busy and with it being the school holidays I have been prioritising them making some amazing memories.
I have been doing my best to keep the shelves stocked but you are all amazing and just keep buying my cat grass in the hundreds 😂 🌾
This is very much appreciated, I’m forever grateful for your support, I am not complaining.
I’m currently working on a big batch to be ready hopefully Sunday that will go to Baker Street and have all my shelves full with germinating seeds to get the shelves more consistently stocked before we go on holiday.

🪴🪴Please can I have your help 🪴🪴 I have totally run out of all the small pots and I’ve had no luck finding any being given away on marketplace.
Please 🙏 can you bring back your small pots. Or if you have any small pots.
If every person brought one back (because one really does make a difference) in the quantities I sell, I’d have hundreds!!!!!!
It only takes one pot from one person and you’ll all make a difference and help me keep the cost down.

If you can help, please drop them to Coombs on Baker Street or Hove store if that’s closer

Cat grass available. I have 3 trays of my organic wheat spelt grass available to collect from my home in Hollingdean. It’s great to help relieve hairballs and has many health benefits too.
Both A Coombs Pet Centre are fully stocked with trays and pots
Trays are £5 collection or delivery can be arranged locally for an extra £2

Good evening 👋 just to let you know there will be trays of cat grass available tomorrow from A Coombs Pet Centre Baker Street.
The lovely Dave will be collecting it so it will should be there first thing.
Cat grass won’t be available at Hove branch until Monday, sorry.
We’ve had some wonderful family short breaks recently and that’s why there’s been a bit of a shortage

Also catnip 🐱 🪴 8 young catnip plants will be available at Baker Street and there’s more available at home

Been so busy I’ve been forgetting to update here.
But our treat range is now complete.
Krill 🦐 chicken 🐓 chicken liver, tuna 🍣 and king prawn 🦐 all freeze dried 😋 my house 🏠 stinks 😂

Have you spotted the tomato 🍅 plants 🪴 at A Coombs Pet Centre ?
My boys have grown them from a tomato themselves on our window sill and are amazed at how big they’ve grown. Now they’re hoping to sell them for £1.50 and make a bit of pocket money 🥰
There’s also sunflowers 🌻 and plenty of fresh pots and trays of cat grass available as usual 🌾😻

Lots of grass kits available, they can be collected from either A Coombs Pet Centre’s or postage available, just order online. They will also be available at the The Macs Farm big event on the 18th May 😄
I’ve put together some cheaper pots for The Cats of Hanover pawtrait exhibition which will be there at the end of the week for anyone wanting to grow their own at home and contribute towards a great charity 😻

🌾 🌾🌾Information dump about why my grass stands out from the rest and the amazing health benefits it has🌾🌾🌾

I use organic wheat spelt- Spelt is an excellent source of carbohydrates and dietary fiber. It is particularly rich in iron, magnesium, phosphorous, zinc, and niacin (vitamin B-3). Compared with other wheat, spelt contains: a slightly higher protein content.

Vitamin D and cats. Cats can not obtain vitamin D from the sun. They have to achieve it through their diet and my wheat grass is full of vitamin D!
