🌟APPEAL UPDATE🌟
Firstly we would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year from all at WDR,
We have been totally overwhelmed with the response to our appeal, thank you to the 285,967 people who took the time to read it, thank you to the 1,861 people who shared it, we are so so grateful,
We had 9 offers from the most generous people who saw our post, and we are grateful to each and everyone of those people,
We will be moving at the end of the month to a local location after the most generous offer from an amazing couple who wanted to help us.
We will document the move so please share this again and give us a follow so you can see them settled after the move,
Thank you all for restoring our faith in the power of people who genuinely care about animals xx

🌟URGENT APPEAL🌟
👀 WORCESTER DONKEY RESCUE NEEDS HELP MORE THAN EVER 👀

Dear Supporters, Volunteers, Friends and Animal Lovers.

We are reaching out in what is now a desperate appeal to help Worcester Donkey Rescue continue to be able to offer the care love and support we have been able to do over the past 5 years.

We have been given notice by our current landlord that they require part of the land we occupy back for other interests and sadly this will make our work there impossible as we won’t have enough space and the environment won’t be as safe and secure as the Donkeys need, this also would mean the work we are doing with various different mental health organisations and the visits our sponsored support packages provide will have to be temporarily suspended.

We have little over a month to find new premises, so we are reaching out to everyone and anyone to help WDR secure a suitable more permanent home so we can continue to support these wonderfully amazing animals but also carry on our community support work and allow those of you who visit regularly to continue getting the joy from our amazing Donkeys.

What we are looking for is :
A minimum of 4 Acres of safe accessible land.
Ideally fenced with shelter options.
Accessible water and electricity.
Ideally located in or around Worcester.

If you know of anything that might suit or know of anyone who might know someone please start spreading the word, even sharing this post and asking your followers to share as well will help as I’m sure somewhere we can find what we need to continue to support and assist our Donkeys.

Please help us, please spread the word and let’s not let everything we’ve achieved so far be wasted. Your kindness could make all the difference.

I would like to give a shout out to all the staff and followers at Ginger Cat Crafts, they very kindly chose to raise funds for us, and through this raised £350 which they donated to WDR, we are so humbled and grateful to everyone, this time of year is hard going financially so every penny is so crucial to the donkeys welfare,
Thank you all so so much, as a big cat fan myself I urge everyone to give this wonderful charity a follow to see all the great work they do

We would like to give thanks to this wonderful family who all came to pay us a visit this week to see the plaque we had put up to honour Judy, to loose a family member is such a painful thing and to donate funds raised from her service is for us very humbling, so glad to have met all the family to say thank you ☺️

🌾 The straw is put through a hammer mill and ground down into tiny pieces.

🌾This is then pressed through a pellet die under high pressure to form small, dense pellets. The natural fibres in the straw and the heat hold the pellets together without any added chemicals, as well as killing off any mould spores or bacteria.

🌾 Cooling and Packaging: The pellets are cooled to harden, screened to remove any dust, and then packaged for use as absorbent, eco-friendly bedding.
