Adventure Afternoon for Ollie on Sunday and here’s what he got up to:

- We hired a secure field as Ollie can be reactive
- Did some basic agility training through weave poles and tunnels
- Had lots of fun playing fetch with a squeaky ball
- Scent work hiding treats in tyres
- Dipping his toes (and head!) in a pond and meeting some ducks

Ollie got lots of treats, a couple of naps in the car and varied mental and physical stimulation 😁

Adventure Afternoons are perfect for active dogs, 2.5 hours of fun, training, desensitisation and more for only £35. Treats, water and transport between adventures all included in the price.

See my website fizzicaldexterity.co.uk for full information or DM to start your dogs adventure 🐾

Last week was busy busy busy pet sitting 3 handsome boys…

We had a 3 day stay with Henry the 14 year old Yorkshire Terrier who made sure he kept me in line with his strict daily routine 🐶

A 2 day stay with Murphy the Cocker Spaniel who loves nothing more than long walks consisting of chasing ball after ball 🎾

And finally an afternoon stay with Koda the Chow Chow who makes his initial feelings on you very clear by ‘coughing’ but quickly warms up to you when he realises you have a long supply of his favourite treat- chicken 🍗

This lovely girl is Bailey and she is 15 and a half years old!!! 😳 The eager mathematicians will have worked out that makes her around 108 in dog years! And wow what amazing condition she is in 🤩

Bailey was originally a drug detection dog in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 and after retirement, was adopted by her lovely owners and the 3 of them moved to the UK together 🛬

When I first saw Bailey in February, she had some pain in her Right Hind and Front Left legs. Dogs walk in diagonal pairs so compensatory pain in the diagonal limbs is very common 🦮

I left Bailey and her owners with some homework to help adjust tissue tension in inflamed areas and she was much improved in her second session last Sunday 🥳

Keep up the good work beautiful Bailey 🥰

✨Fizzy’s Sparkle Award WINNER✨

With great pleasure, it’s time to announce that Fizzy’s 3rd Sparkle Award Winner is the distinguished gentleman, Rufus! 🐺

Rufus is a 13 year old Deerhound Lurcher who loves countryside living and socialising with his owner’s (Emma and Charlie’s) many friends 🌳

Emma first approached me for massage therapy for Rufus due to hind limb weakness, hoping I can help improve Rufus’ muscle strength. He has also had issues throughout his life with brittle nails and has a fused front leg following a snapped check ligament 🤕

When I first treated Rufus in September 2022, he only ever led on his left and did everything he could to stop me from treating his left hind leg, indicating he was protecting a weakness. However on my most recent session with Rufus, his left hind was his strongest limb in regards to muscle condition! 💪

He also showed improvement in his front right shoulder which was struggling with compensatory pain from his left hind leg. When I saw Rufus most recently, he was free from spasm in this limb! 😅

He made amazing progress!

Rufus has since taken a turn on his hind limb again so I look forward to seeing how I can help him on Friday 🏩

Well done for making such good progress Rufus! In honour of his rehabilitation so far, his owner will receive 50% off Rufus’ next treatment and a custom cartoon courtesy of Haldane Cartoons ✏️

The lovely Rufus fast asleep during his third massage yesterday 😴

Rufus suffers from brittle nails and he also has a fused front right leg following a snapped check ligament. Despite this, he’s full of life and a very happy boy. Yesterdays session focused on easing compensatory pain in his shoulders and increasing circulation down to his toes 🐾

This was definitely the best I’ve ever seen Rufus and his muscles maintained condition from his last session which was great to see 😊 Keep up the good work Rufus

New slots available to book for canine adventures! 🐾

Can dogs smile?
A question that has been asked for as long as dogs have been domestic animals. Research carried out by Hill’s pet food found that dogs muscular reflexes in their face cause them to appear to be ‘smiling’ but not when something is funny, or for reasons a human would smile. But because they are calm and relaxed, and aren’t these happy emotions? 🤔

So YES, at Fizzical Dexterity we believe dogs can smile and we see it every walk! So what are you waiting for? PM us today to get your dog booked into an adventure 🪵
