I have been so exited to share with you my business niche.. CAKE MEADOWS!!
With Flower Farming there are many paths to go down on how to make a flower farming business profitable.
Some more successful than others but that comes down to passion, drive and how far you’re willing to take your business.
With a 3 year old and baby number 2 on the way I needed to find a niche that works around me, my flower farm, my lifestyle, my skills and to find a gap in the market that makes my business unique.
Creating Cake Meadows gives me the chance to be creative with the clients specific event, colour scheme and florals. Wether that be Weddings, Birthdays, Christenings, Baby Showers, any event that needs a cake, needs a cake meadow.
Not that a small independent business should ever have to justify their prices but my prices truly do reflect the amount of time and effort I put in to my business; sowing and growing these flowers from seed for over several months of the year, the compost, the soil preparation, amendments, the fertilisers, field maintenance, the transfers of seeds and plants to the field, the planting out, the labour, the tools, the fuel costs, the pest control, the water, the harvesting, the conditioning, the arranging, the organising, the admin, the delivery, the set up, the time, the effort, the skill.
My Flower Farm is 100% sustainable, no pesticides, herbicides or chemicals used.
I fully rely on the ecosystem and beneficial insects to do their jobs.
My soil has been amended and prepared for my specific flowers to provide the best nutrients for superior quality locally grown British cut flowers.
I am still taking orders for bouquets so get in touch if you ever need one and please think of Stanley Joes Yard / Cake Meadows for your next event!!
All information can be found in my highlights. Message me, email me any enquiries I will be more than happy to discuss details.
