Happy Monday! Love a Monday!
Had a migraine yesterday but got some work done before it kicked in.
Got a few bridles that have to be finished for Blair Atholl this week.
Dog customers have been so patient and i thank you all again! Still getting through them though!
Got a million messages too to work through... waiting on a few payments too...
Hope we've all had a great weekend and feel free to share your wins/events and pics with us here, we love them.

Hey everyone...

I have several messages to chase up stuff... not ignoring anyone... been the busiest week! Been like repair city! Saddles, bridles, boots etc all needing repaired (not ones I made, just general repairs!) ...
I'm rushing to finish a bridle that HAS to leave today! I will be online to sort everyone's messages and chase up stuff about 6pm... dont stress ... all will be fine... ♥️

I have 2 bridles for sale... both brand new - will get pics tomorrow x

Customer sent wrong sizes.. then nothing worked for her, too small, too big, too fine, too thick, then right size cheeks didnt fit as she wanted to change bit after bridle arrived etc... 🙄🙄

So they are home!

1 will fit a Sec A/B with a nice head and other is a standard pony.

Both have....
Shaped and padded headpiece
Plaited browband
Plain and stitched noseband

Sec A/B size is dark havana English Leather with ⅜" cheeks (2 pairs/different lengths) and 2 x nosebands (1 x ⅞" and 1 x 1")

Pony size one is chocolate Italian leather 👌 and ½" cheeks with 1" noseband.

No reins with either.
Will be up for sale at a reduced price - wee bargains!

Just finished work and had dinner. Ready to sleep!
It's the busy busy season for dog and horse customers, not ignoring anyone but I will be finished hopefully at a normal time tomorrow - 7pm ish and I'll be online to answer everyone's messages.
Loads to do, don't stress or panic.
Bridle orders - waiting on leather and a top up of buckles which will be here this week 😀

Wee safety announcement 😂

I know most of my customers are amazing at checking stitching etc on items they are using all the time, remember to check your buckles too.
This was a very expensive well known company who made this girth so not cheap buckles or anything like that.
Not knocking them either, just wear and tear, but just check them regularly incase something pings when you are having a wee jump or something.... don't want you all injured 🙈

I also have to say, feel free to send items I haven't made to be repaired, some people think I will only repair Regalstag items! I'm a saddler, my job is to fix anything needed, no matter who made it. Although good quality items please.

So clearout still happening..

Job lot or driving stuff. Pony and cob mix.
Mix of brown, dark havana and black.
Would say ideal for breaking or working at home.
We have...
2 x cob bridles, with bits.
I x breastplate with martingale
1 x extra top part of breastplate.
2 pairs of traces.
4 x cruppers
1 x extra back strap for crupper
2 x tug strap (don't know real name)
2 x girths
1 x saddle with tug strap and tugs and tug girth.
2 x breeching
1 x bum part of breeching (no top strap)

Some buckles tarnished.
Some nice pieces and some basic working pieces.

£150 for the lot, no tyre kickers please, worth £150 to me in buckles and rings, if no one wants it, it will have buckles and rings removed and skipped. Just incase someone wants a pile of harness cheap.
Can post at buyer's expense or feel free to arrange your own courier, collect or can meet Glasgow area.

It's just to show the work that it takes to make a simple inhand bridle, don't think many people understand the time and work that goes into one.
This was a bridle made for the Royal Highland show but I couldn't work out how to speed it up, crop it and post 🙈🙈

Happy Monday!

I love how we are all meant to be fresh and happy on a Monday, but everyone that competes with their horses and dogs will be exhausted after a busy weekend.

I think on a Monday we should all wear out best clothes, use our best tools and drink the expensive coffee.

Regalstag

I have been a saddler for several years and still love every second of it. Never once have I woken in the morning and dreaded the thought of work. I do believe work should feel like work if it is the right work! ​ There is something special about taking raw materials and turning a design from your head into a finished piece. A feeling I always get, time after time with every item I finish. Sometimes it can be overwhelming when you have designed, tweeked, re-designed, failed and tweeked some more when suddenly something has worked out better than you originally planned. I strive for perfection and cannot settle for anything less. Every stitch needs to be perfect and matching the previous one, every hole punched needs to be exactly the same size, in line and gentle as the others, every buckle or fitting needs to meet the quality expected as who doesn't want perfection? Nothing will ever leave my workshop unless I would personally be proud to fit it onto one of my dogs or horses. I will only use the best materials available. Italian leather of the finest quality, braided nylon thread for safety (linen available in mustard) threads which I wax by hand, British made solid brass fittings and pure wool HARRIS Tweed and Merino wool for saddle flocking. I hope you enjoy looking through my pages and designs. Everything can be made to measure for your individual animal. ​Johnny Morgan
