We’ll guys its happened instead of spending Christmas and New Year with Loki in Scotland We have decided to bring ICE home to stay with us rather than have him placed in kennels as his original foster family who had been secured by another rescue decided they could not keep him any more through no fault of his own
so we welcomed him into our home until we find him his forever loving home
he is such a sweet boy who loves hugs and lots of attention
if there is anyone out there that would like to meet ice please contact me on my mobile or drop me a message on here

Hi everyone well you must have all seen the post about ICE not going to his forever home as they decided a pup would make a better companion for their 3 year old ROCCO
ICE is safe for the moment but some help would be welcomed as ICE is raw fed just like my LOKI in helping his current foster family with his food and vet bills I WILL START THE DONATIONS WITH £30 if i have to i will start a go fund me page
I don't want ICE to go back into kennels its not fair on him
i know times are hard for everyone and its near to Christmas so in the Christmas spirit if you can even just afford a pound and if just 10 people donated ONE POUND that would help i bet we lose more than that down the back of the sofa or the car seat and if anyone knows where ICE would be welcomed please contact me on 07535 793399 IM DETERMINED THAT ICE WILL NOT go back into kennels which is where he spent the first part of his life before being rescued just before he was going to be put to sleep

This narrative is not quite correct
Balto was the lead dog on the last leg of over 1000 ks to bring a serum to NOME in ALASKA
the weather was so bad that neither air transport road or rail were an option so to get the serum into the the town sled dog teams raced in relay to get the serum in and BALTO was the lead dog on the last leg so he is remembered this way but not forgetting all the other Huskies and MUSHERS that saved the town
although there is some doubt that BALTO was the lead dog as TOGO was thought to be the lead dog as they arrived in the early hours it was possibly a staged photo that put BALTO in the frame for being the lead dog
There is and was no way a husky or malamute could cover such a huge distance he was in fact on the last stage and that’s how Balto became famous and poor Togo was nearly forgotten

Hi ive some sad news about ICE and his potential foster/adoption family
they have decided that they wish to have a puppy as a companion for their dog
we will be trying hard now to get this lovely boy his forever home i really dont want to let this boy down
I’m devastated at what has happened because i was only days away from collecting ICE he has the most fantastic blue eyes and gentle and good nature with other dogs he’s just a cuddle monster lol
but we wish the family well and good luck in their search for their new pup and companion for their boy lets hope they chose to adopt a rescue
ive had lots of enquiries about ICE but none that were really a suitable match for him
So its back to the drawing board if there is anyone out there that would consider adopting ICE and giving him his forever home please message me he’s a lovely boy who deserves a loving and forever home

Hi we are looking for a foster family to take in a 18 month old loveable male husky he was saved just in the nick of time from a Romanian kill shelter he is crate trained and loves his walks i have met him with my husky loki and he walks brilliantly on a double lead there was no sign of aggression he is such a playful boy with a very good temperament the only issue is that he he has to homed where there are no cats lol
I did have someone that would have him but they had cats

he is currently in MID WALES but i will be bringing him to stay with LOKI and me for a short while
my circumstance are such that i cannot keep him myself other wise believe me i would he got on so well with LOKI i would have done in a heartbeat

Finally Defra has lifted the ban on dogs coming into the country hopefully now we can start helping rescue more huskies
I'm off to see one on Sunday called Ice who was rescued from a Kill shelter in Romania and im hoping to place him with one of my fosters with a view to him finding him his forever home
if there is anyone out there that would consider fostering please send me a message will post some pics of Ice later

As husky owners we all know the little dog syndrome but surely one nip from a little dog protecting her home is not enough to be put to sleep for
all of us love our dogs no matter what the size or breed so lets help overturn the desperately wrong decision the judge has made and let Kim live out the rest of her life with her owner and heresexsomething to think about your faithful dog always knows a bad person i know my boy loki will stand between me and someone he doesnt like or trust he wont do anything just stand there protecting me may thats what Kim was doing please SIGN NOW

LISTEN TO YOUR DOGS

Just a generation ago if you went near a dog when he was eating and the dog growled, somebody would say, 'Don't go near the dog when he's eating!, what are you crazy?'
Now the dog gets punished or put to sleep !

Back then, dogs were allowed to say, NO.
Dogs are not allowed to say no anymore!!!

They can't get freaked out, they can't be afraid, they can never signal 'I'd rather not.' We don't have any kind of nuance with regard to dogs expressing that they are uncomfortable, afraid, angry, or in pain, worried, or upset.
If the dog is anything other than completely sunny and goofy every second, he goes from a nice dog to an 'AGGRESSIVE' dog."

Listen to your dogs people, they are trying to communicate with you in the only way they can !

Im slowly getting the page together but in light of recent developments with the ban on bringing dogs in from the EUROPE I've decide to try and help other rescues in the UK as there are so so many dogs looking for homes that im hoping that I can ASK my friends and others that follow this page to be foster parents for the many huskies that are sadly waiting for forever homes SO PLEASE IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE THAT WOULD CONSIDER FOSTERING PLEASE GET IN TOUCH I HAVE A FEW NAMES ALREADY BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT TO ADD TO THE LIST
It would save the dogs being placed in kennels where they could get kennel anxiety and would be helping the many other rescues reduce their kennel fees
SO PLEASE LETS HELP OTHERS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY HELP THE MANY DOGS THAT ARE LOOKING FOR A LOVING FOREVER HOME

Such a lot has been going on its been difficult to bring our page upto date sorry
We have also donated 3 very large bags of blankets and towels to the PDSA Hospital in Cardiff so many animals need their care so if anyone has anything that they can donate blankets towels ect please message me and I will arrange collection the appeal to help the dogs in Ukraine is still ongoing and im looking to take a load upto Leominster next week

We continue our efforts to help Blaze a husky who was ordered to be destoyed by the courts for a run in with a Dachshund
We have conducted a professional assessment on him and found no further issues he is a loveable and playful boy who interacts with children and other dogs without any problems either on or off lead ( these photos have been reproduced by kind permission of Blazes owner Colin Beavis )
we will continue to support Blaze on his journey

Excellent day at Rogerstone welfare ground for their Jubilee celebrations thank you to everyone who bought something or donated to the rescue it will go a long way to helping with rescue fees ect please continue to support us with any unused leads coats harnesses ect we will be putting up an upto date list of where our collection points are
so once again A GREAT BIG THANK YOU AS A TOTAL OF £86 WAS RAISED

LOOKING TO RESCUE DOGS OUT OF UKRAINE
i have fosters for them but DEFRA has stopped ANY AND ALL DOGS COMMING INTO THE UK UNTIL 15TH JULY 2022 apparently someone tried to get some dogs in using false papers and apparently they had rabies so i guess we will just have have to wait and hope DEFRA dont change their minds

Thank you to everyone who helped in the collection of unused dog equipment for the dogs in Ukraine
We have drop boxes around gwent and RCT for you to drop off your old equipment many people are still trying to get their pets out of Ukraine to safety so please if you see any of our posters and drop boxes please anything you have in the way of leads harnesses collars blankets ect would go a long way to helping the people of UKraine get their pets to safety or all the volunteers that have bravely stayed behind to feed and care and provide shelter for the many of thousands yes thousands of dogs still in Ukraine so far we have done two trips to Leominster where everything is forwarded to Ukraine here are some pictures of a collection with Loki guarding the delivery
