I’ve left the sound on as I wanted you guys to hear the constant reassurance and praise given throughout the appointment, especially on the bean extraction 🫘

Building trust and positive associations around sheath cleaning is paramount for an overall stress-free cleaning experience for your horse and one of my main focus’ when coming to visit your equines 🥰

Normally I like to let the lubricant soak in a little more which makes the bean slightly easier to remove, however it was obvious this bean was causing some discomfort so I decided to remove it first hoping he would then relax into the rest of the appointment, which he did 👏🏼🐴

He’ll be booked in again for 6 months time and hopefully he won’t be as dirty, good boy Winston 🫘🧼✅🐴

The other week I went to visit 3 gorgeous recently imported Andalusian stallions for their sheath clean 🧼🐴

Now anyone who knows me will know that I loooove a Spanish horse 🇪🇸🐴
There’s something about their confidence yet highly sensitive character that I find fascinating 🥰

We managed to get all 3 boys done using a calm, gentle postive approach and they were absolute superstars considering they haven’t had lots and lots of handling 🐴🦄

The youngest one of the 3 (2years old) was slightly was wary but we managed to do the majority and end of a good note - I’m positive next time he’ll be absolutely fine 🥰

Good boys 👏🏼🫘🧼✅🐴

A question I get asked all so regular 🧼

Think of it almost like washing your hair, the more you do it the greasier it gets 😉💆🏼‍♀️

Certain health conditions can contribute to a bigger build up

Remember - every 6-12 months ideally 📆

It has been bought to my attention that there has been recent speculation that I am involved within the training of another sheath cleaning business

I would like to make this clear and inform all existing, new and old clients that this is NOT true.
I do not offer external training to anybody - nor have I ever or intend on.
I am a one woman band and it is only myself involved within the business, Equine Sheath Hygienist.
I am not involved or connected with any other sheath cleaning business’

Unfortunately sheath is an unlicensed and unregulated industry so technically no training is required, meaning essentially that anybody can go and just set up. This obviously comes with risks.

I pride myself in my knowledge, reputation, experience and dedication to up skill and continue my education within this field to give the best care to my clients and their horses.

I always advise clients to do their own research into picking a reputable sheath cleaner and if you look down my page you will you see multiple posts advising what to look out for/questions to ask.

I like to think my reputation speaks for itself however this is something I feel I really need to set the record straight on

Thankyou for all my loyal clients for their support 💕

Hi guys 👋🏼

I’m just sat with my diary and for weekend appointments I’m nearly booked up until beginning of April which I’m so forever grateful for 🥲🫶🏼

This being said - I need to toughen up and I’d like to remind all clients that I do implement a strict (strict 🥴🫣) cancellation policy to protect myself.
This is my only income so when people cancel, especially on the day, it has a real knock on effect.
Of course I do understand things happen that can’t be helped and I’ll always do my best to be flexible and help if/where I can 🫶🏼

Cancellations on the day (ie less than 24hours notice) are to paid in full and appointments cancelled with 48 hours notice have a £15 charge unless I can fill the appointment.

Yard visits will require a deposit upon booking - I’m constantly being asking to travel to different yards and usually a weekend is best to suit different people’s needs, hence my weekends being so booked up in advance, so to secure your appointment moving forward and to help filter out the time wasters to allow serious enquiries to book in, a £5 per horse deposit will be taken.

This is an idea I’ve toyed with for years and it’s only until recently with the busier I’m getting that it’s really started to become abit of an issue and I feel awful turning people away for people to then cancel on the day 😩

This is by no means a moany post - just a friendly realistic reminder ❤️
