Marilyn has been busy behind the scenes working hard on her assessments to meet the The Animal Behaviour and Training Council standards for being an Animal Training Instructor and today got her confirmation that she did it! She passed with flying colours. Never in doubt from any of us here The Canine School of Trailing who know how Marilyn works with dogs. She is caring and supportive with both dog and human end of the leash!

Well, with everything cancelled this week what are you all doing with your dogs to keep them entertained?!?

Marilyn has been enjoying her snowy walks with Scout and Jem but they’ve also been doing some trailing practice inside using the games from the online line handling course!

Getting Jem to use his nose and brain even though they can’t be outside trailing has really helped tame this teenage tearaway this week leaving him super snoozy 😂

Well, we spoke too soon really, didn’t we 🙄🙈

With the continued freezing conditions and snow we’ve taken the decision to cancel the assessments due on Sunday 12 January.

A thaw isn’t due until (maybe) Sunday afternoon, which last time brought its own challenges.

We feel asking you to travel in these conditions to attend one of our events would be irresponsible and we’re not willing to put you or your dogs at risk.

If you’re booked on you’ll receive an email today with further details. In the meantime, stay safe and warm and we will see you all soon 💜🐾👣

🎄🐾 Oh what a night! 🐾🎄

Tonight’s Christmas trail with The Canine School of Trailing in Nantwich was certainly a paws-itively soggy adventure! Four festive dogs joined us for a 4.5km rolling trail, and it’s safe to say we couldn’t have got wetter if we’d tried.

Poor Team Ludo were nearly drowned by a particularly Grinch-like driver – we hope they’ve dried off and are feeling more fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-fur!

Despite the weather, we hope everyone made it safely home and isn’t feeling too bah hum-pug. A huge well done to our four-legged friends for their amazing efforts tonight – they truly sleighed it!

Here’s to drier trails ahead and a woof-erful Christmas season. Stay safe and festive out there! 🎅🐶
